Apparently Starrider (the new coach) rescinded Lowry's scholarship and Kelly quit the team because his friend was cut...anyone even know this could happen?

Yeah, it happened to me in Rupp this past season.

I had it happen in my 5th or 6th season of HD. I've been terrified of coming into new programs and cutting players ever since.

Yeah it happened to me in my 2nd world I joined, the first season there.

Which was like my 3rd or 4th HD season total.

I rescinded 1 guys schollie, and THE 2 BEST PLAYERS BOTH QUIT.

How about that ****?

Wild I have cut players at every stop ive been at 6 total. All the palyers were recruitied by others and its never happened to me. Lucky i guess. I can see shy you would be gun shy then.

I hadn't seen that before. Crazy.

I have had it happen 2x before... one time I took over a lowsy DII and just was clearing house... on the third guy... one of the ones I want to keep quit? ... I stopped.

The other time I was busy learning the ol' don't make promises you don't intend to keep lesson and signed the guy myself... he got ****** and dropped about 20 WE down to like 20 or so, after his Soph season of again not playing and complaining all season...... I decided to boot him out the door... one of my good kids went with him... that one REALLY hurt.

True, but it's not supposed to happen if you didn't recruit the player(s) in question.
