It is different because extra inning games, even 17 inning games are a natural occurrence and with them come extra PA's. A 32-6 game with the extra PA's is not a natural occurrence so your stamina should not be penalized - imho
That said, I never had a big hangup about getting caught in a 32-6 win, it's not like it happens very often.
Limiting the fatigue effect to six PA's though seems draconian.
This year, in the real life MLB, how many times did 7+ PA games happen naturally? My bottom line, I think they just fixed a a problem, a very tiny problem by ruling out 7+ PA games, which are a natural occurrence.
In effect they killed something unnatural (32-6 games and their effect on fatigue) by killing something that does happen naturally, 7+ PA games.
