Okay, this is now the second season in a row in two different worlds that this has happened to me.
I sent in a ticket and I'm curious to see if I get the same very weak excuse I got last time.I was recruiting SF-David Smith, going up against Murray St., a SIM coached team.
Now according to WIS, a SIM team does NOT make any additional recruiting efforts beyond what it first puts in on a player. So how do you explain this? After increasing the number of promised minutes to Smith I received this message from him at 11:01 PM on 10/15/09."Hey coach, your scholarship offer really means a lot to me. I can see myself at St. Bonaventure next season. Hopefully nothing changes between now and the signing period." - David Smith
That was the last communication I received from this player until 8:00 AM this morning when I received the "Too Late" message. Now please tell me, how the hell does that happen?
In fact, according to WIS, it can't!Once you are the lead school against a SIM, the race is supposed to be over unless another human coached team enters the picture. And they did not.
Mind you, like I said before this is actually the 2nd time IN A ROW something like this has happened. The same thing occurred in Crum the last time we recruited. Except it happened with 3 different players at the same time. I had 3 players flip-flop on me TWICE. They suddenly started considering me, even though I had made no additional recruiting effort. And then they were not even considering me again the very next cycle.I really didn’t care then, because I knew I shouldn’t have been in the running in the first place. But it was clearly a glitch in the system.
Now this time I become a player’s first choice against a SIM coached team, only to have him change his mind later, even though SIMs aren't supposed to be able to make additional recruiting effort?!?
I’ve been a customer at WIS a long time now.But in these tough economic times, I don't have the money to keep throwing at a game that obviously is not working properly.
So I've sent in my ticket asking if they would please take a look at this latest glitch in Rupp, and let me know what if anything is going to be done to correct it. That way I can decide what I'm going to do about WIS.
