I am now thoroughly convinced WIS is being run by the Federal Government. How else can you explain the gross incompetence that is laid out below. To give you some background. The Williams league is a public league that was available to roll way back on Sept 12th. Because so many other leagues were also open, Williams continued to sit idle. The early notes below were my attempts to get some action form WIS support. As it unfolds you will see that they tried a merger with another league (LOCO) that league said no and somehow in the process my team and I were eliminated from the new proposal. Today the other shoe drops. While I have been patiently trying to nurse WIS support through the process of reuniting me with my team , they make Williams public again and a new owner was able to go in and pick up the team they couldn’t give back to me !!!!! To top it off they have announced to all the Williams owners (except for me of course because I’m no longer and owner) that they will be issued a $10 credit for the inconvenience they suffered. The inconvenience they have suffered ……
I thought it might be a good thing to make the WIS customer base aware of this issue. Love to hear your thoughts. As you read through the mail tread I think you will see how patient I tried to be until …. the last note. Here is the support mail thread:

Things are getting worse in Williams not better. We now need 12 and a long time owner is fed up and leaving meaning we will soon need 13. At this rate, the world will never roll over. We have been waiting for nearly a month (9-12). If you are going to fold the league just let us all know if we should move on. If not ... can't we move the franchises ? No one would care if you have to spread us around to other worlds. What we do care about is seeing other worlds who just finished their season roll while we sit.

The fantasy baseball season recently ended on FoxSports.com. We have a promotion tied to that that went in effect yesterday and today. We are hoping that push will help fill worlds. If it does not, we will be merging some worlds.
I know it's tough to be patient, so thank you.

Another week has come and gone and there are new worlds that keep passing us and rolling over. Your new marketing plans did nothing to help Williams. We still have 11 to fill and will continue to have 11 as long as new worlds come open with less available teams. You have 21 owners who need you to do something or tell us you are going to fold the world. You're screwing us guys and we don't like it.

We need another world to pair this world up for a merger. Unfortunately, all the other non-private worlds only need a handful of openings.

We'll try something else tomorrow to try and fill the world. You guys have been overly patient with this.

At this point, you should have already received notice of the fact we will be merging the Williams and the LOCO worlds. I believe you were a new entrant into the world, so your season has been freed up to join one of the other worlds that have 1, 2, 3 or 4 openings. There are a few open worlds in this boat as well as some very good private worlds also. The sitemail you should have received contains more information.

Our goal with all of this is to get these worlds moving so users don't have to wait between seasons.

I was NOT a new entrant I have been there for two seasons as CougDawg3. I changed IDs' this season to keep one team with one ID. And I would like my team back. I' ve spent a bunch of time building this team and if I lose it now I will be very upset.

We weren't aware of the change in UserIds. It appears one of the owners involved in the merger has chosen to drop out. If that's the case, you can take his spot with your franchise. We'll keep you posted.

Well guys ? What's going on with my team ? I'm anxious to get on with the next season. Were you able to find a spot for me ? AL ,,,, NL I don't care. Which division ? I don't care. I'll find a stadium that works for my team in any division. There has to be a solution somewhere. I'd be happy in any league where there is an opening. I don't need to go to the new LOCO-Williams hybrid

The owners in LOCO and Williams still can't make up their mind as to whether they want to merge or not. Your season has been returned so it's in your available season list. There are currently a few private worlds looking for an owner. Here's the list (world, open spots) that will help you in the classified forums:

Thanks for the response. Sounds like this is a note back from a different customer support representative?? WIS already proposed that solution and I rejected it the first time. I've been able to join any open world for over a month and would have done so if that was acceptable. But I chose to stay with Williams for a reason. The team I was building. The problem is I want MY TEAM back period. If you can move my entire Seattle roster to one of the Worlds you listed that would be acceptable. I don't care if you put it in another world that is public or private. I don't care if they are in the National or American league. I don't care which city. I only care about having the entire roster I have been building for 3 seasons. I think I'm being very flexible in this. WIS removed me from Williams without contacting me prior to the deletion. Had you contacted me prior to the deletion, this could have all been avoided. And if Williams and Loco are still deciding on the merger, why can't you just move me back into Williams now ?

If you can't find a way to reinstate my team then I don't want to be a part of WIS. Convert all of my available HBD games in both the CougDawg and CougDawg3 accounts into Grid Dynasty credits and I'll run those out and leave WIS. You will have lost a customer who has dumped a bunch of money on this game for good. If that's what you want then so be it.

In the future, I would hope this situation might have you rethink the way you populate public worlds in HBD. You are always going to have times when there are fewer potential owners for teams. If only one public world is open at a time they will fill quicker and you will probably not have one world hanging out for 6 weeks waiting to roll. When there are multiple public worlds open, then the ones with the lowest number of open teams will naturally fill faster.

Let me know what you want to do. I'm sure you're getting as tired of hearing from me as I am waiting for this to move on.

Now someone has jumped in to take my team. I expect you to contact the new owner and tell him that you screwed up and posted a team that was not really available. 1. Why did you change IDs? In fact, why did you have multiple IDs to begin with? Seems to me like you put yourself in this situation with that.

2. have youtried contacting the owner that took your team and seeing if he will agree to give it to you and take a different team? Seems like a rather simple solution that wont require you to write all these tickets and threads.

Caught using multiple IDs, making poor decisions, acting in haste, crying to mommy WIS. Just deserts.

And the whole gun metaphor SHOULD get you banned for a few days. Good luck with that.

And I think you are missing the whole point of the threads. They started long before the team became available again. The initial threads were an attempt to get WIS to try and fix the situation in Williams.

The owners of Williams need to fix the situation with Williams.

Your world is unattractive. Why? Once you figure that out, fix it.



As far as your other issue, it does kinda suck to be removed and not reinstated when the merge didn't happen. Of course, since it's reasonably apparent that Williams isn't rolling anytime soon, you have plenty of time to resolve the issue.

wait, seriously? the gun comment is very unfortunate (maybe even illegal, i don't know), but this guy did really get a raw deal. this situation was handled poorly, if these accounts are accurate.

as for multiple IDs, it's not as if he tried to disguise that he was the same guy-- they're the same name! it's a stretch to suggest he was being duplicitous with the IDs.

This sucks but it is a textbook example of one reason why multiple ID's is a bad idea.

You have a league that 16+ people chose to leave after last season - I dont think it is WIS's job to fix a league that has clearly been trashed. yet despite that they attempted to fix it with a merge. Plus they gave returning players a 10 dollar credit when that failed. I think they have done more than enough here and maybe you learned your lesson now not to play around with multiple IDs (frankly, I dont see any reason for someone to have mulitple IDs unless they intend to try to break the rules and put more than one team into a single league).

As a victim of gun violence, I find this thread title pretty offensive. Not cool.

the thread title is terrible, but he was NOT messing around with multiple IDs (at least with these IDs).

Cougdawg, just edit your first post to say "Customer service screwed me over!" and you'll get a lot more sympathy to your plight. The way it is now, you'll probably get a warning email.
