What I meant to say was, I can't see the prospect, and if you're paying attention to velocity you're doing it wrong.

The only people who will be able to see this guys ratings are guys in your world who have scouted him. There is no way to tell what he is worth based on what you've told us.

He will be pretty good; going to give up to many homer runs, but otherwise pretty good. I would not blow your whole payroll on him as you will be able to get better in the draft for much cheaper, but you will be okay going a max of about 14M.

how much is your international scouting budget? if it is high enough that those are is true prjections then.....he is good but , nothing special, i wouldn't go over 10 mil, unless you are towards the end of the season, you probably have one of the higher prospect budgets , I would wait for a stud to come along.

His budget is 14M, but I'm guessing that guy is 21. I personally have never seen much growth on Internationals that are that old. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but I would not expect him to get close to those ratings.

He's also handed (guessing), which means he will get pounded by righties. His splits are average and his pitches are terrible. If his control ended up mid 80s, he is worthless.

I wouldn't spend any more than $3M, and I would only spend that if my minor league pitching was completely bare and it was the end of the season where someone else better isn't going to come.



With $28M in prospect payroll, I would wait until someone good came along.

With 14 in IFAs, he may not see his vR split get out of the 50s, meaning he'll be knocked around a fair bit, imho.

He's not "worthless", but I wouldn't blow my wad on him, either.

Thanks guys, I went up to 6 million on him and someone outbid me. I have the 2nd highest prospect budget, so I'll wait for someone a bit more studdlier to come along. And then blow my wad

prospect payroll doesn't make much sense. If they aren't in the bigs... wouldn't that make them a "prospect'?

Prospect payroll goes to the bonus that a prospect recieves, I guess it could be re-worded to better suit this.

I would go to 125% of whatever his asking price is, not any higher
