Is there a sidebet between you and some other owner on the outcome of these replies?

for some reason when i copied and pasted his stats it was all messed up. but as you can see with a 3-2 record so far he isn't getting much run support. he has given up 2 or less runs in 6 of his 7 starts

He is a quality pitcher. If he already had 4 pro seasons then you won't see much more improvement leaving him in the minors.

this is his 5th season

he has had 2 improvements so far this season in which he has improved a total of 7 pts.

What's your AS budget set at?

I'd be suspicious of the projections I'm seeing if the guy appears to have already hit his projections on some ratings, but is 10+ points away on others.

11 mil.

$11m is not that great for an AS budget. Most likely, the projections you see are not going to be that accurate.

The development of P2 from S13 to S14 has slowed down considerably. 97 is not going to be attainable. And his vsL rating has not moved in the current season through two development cycles, so 74 is probably out of reach as well.

Back to your original question . . . he is a major league pitcher right now. I see no point in holding him back for further development in the minors because I don't think he's going to get much more. He can keep developing at the major league level as long as he's in the rotation and getting regular work.

The only reason why you might want to hold him back would be to delay his arb clock. I guess it depends on what your long-term expectations are for your team.
