Updates Are Coming

WhatIfSports will be introducing some key updates in early 2010. Our new and improved forums will be arriving first followed by a big Hardball Dynasty update including the Hall of Fame.

I can think of a lot more exciting updates they could add besides the HoF.

I like to platoon some of my players based on the L/R splits of pitchers I'm facing. Not necessarily the ratings, but the actual statistical performance. I will usually scout a guys performance vL & vR for the current & previous season. I would like to see an update that included lifetime vL & vR statistics for pitchers. They have it in the baseball encyclopedia since that stat has been tracked. Why not here? Shouldn't be too difficult to add.

I guess I'm different, because I believe the HOF is one of the more exciting updates.

To each their own certainly. It might be kinda neat, but I'd rather they do more gameplay related stuff that's been suggested on the forums. Like say... fixing the Rule 5 workarounds and people's ability to keep guys forever in the minors without options.

I think those are really my two biggies. Spreading replacement level talent would make the game more exciting and interesting to me. Right now people want you to trade good prospects a lot of times for a 30-year old AAA replacement level SS stuck on their 40 without options and no future on their ML squad, but completely usable for 15 other teams.

Lot of the players that deserve to be in the Hall of Fame have yet to retire. I don't see the Hall Of Fame being a immediate need.
