i have thought of this in the past. this is a very good idea imo. i thought of it in terms of not having as many worlds for ppl to join in the first place and i think your ideas are pretty good.

If whatif is apparently doing poorly because of the economy, then cutting down on the # of worlds would be akin to downsizing. makes perfect sense

ya, also they could just make it so you could only join certain worlds new. So instead of joining anyone you want you would only have certain choices.

Have to wait to see the way Hall of Fame guys say.

WHile in principle it might be good to have teams more concentrated, in practice I think it woudl be close to impossible to do without making a large number of people upset.

It will never happen, but I agree, it would ultimately be a good thing. The issue is that no one is going to continue to pay if their dynasty is taken away.

I think if you take away a few of the most barren worlds, you could probably find a way to transplant the old teams into the new worlds, even if you have to change schools, you could keep the same roster, or something like that. Maybe it's not feasilble, I don't know.

Perhaps you could offer a free season or rewards points to people who willingly transferred to other worlds, but I don't think just closing one woudl work well.

No, I agree, there would have to be compensation, probably tiered based on amount of seasons in that world.

It isn't going to happen nor should it. WIS would **** off too many customers.

If I were to lose any of the teams that I have spent 10+ seasons to build up I would stop purchasing seasons in that world. This would be a great way to alienate the owners who have spent more money on this game then anyone else.

A better solution to the problem would be to concentrate all current efforts on attracting new owners to this game instead of trying to needlessly "upgrade" current "problems" with HD.

What about when you come into HD you can only apply to certain worlds? So that way you funnel the new HD users to those worlds. If they wish they can get to the other worlds through another link but it only shows them 3-5 worlds up front.

I do not think that any world is in such great shape that they should start turning down new users. Plus it is to HD's benefit to have new worlds starting every week. Makes it where a new user does not have to wait as long to start coaching their new team.

what world is the most barren?

It's going to be a tough thing to implement at the D1 level.

Much easier would be to reduce the number of worlds that have D2 and D3 divisions. Maybe have 1 or 2 worlds that would serve as feeders to the existing D1 worlds. So everyone would be able to apply for a job in any D1 world as long as you didn't have a team there already.

Fuller D2 and D3 which has to be a positive thing. Plus D1 coaches have a better chance at getting their dream job.

I can't imagine there are so many D2, D3 coaches with long term programs that conflicts would be a huge issue. Nothing like the stink you would get with moving D1 guys.

I like your idea Lizak, while I wouldn't want it forever but it would be nice while HD is slower to combine the lower levels and leave the D1s alone. This I think wouldn't effect really anyone too much. Also, full D2/D3 conferences from worlds being combined could have the whole conference moved together to keep it as one.
