I'm relatively bothered by players who I never promised minutes to, griping about playing time, especially when they're third on my depth chart at their positions.
I have 3 guys at AASU griping about a lack of minutes and their WEs are dropping like rocks. 2 of the 3 guys are clearly the 3rd best players at their respective position, thus they should understand why they aren't getting minutes and the other guy that's griping is my backup PG who's a JR because my starting PG is averaging 30 mins a night because he deserves it. I find this to be unjust, considering I never promised these guys anything and they should understand their talent/class (lackthereof) in comparison to the other guys on the team.
IRL, if I were the coach here, I would tell these guys that given the circumstances, I'm doing what I think is best for the team and if that means they aren't playing, then they're just going to have to deal with it. They're going to slack off in practice in response? I'll kick em off the team and get someone on there that really wants to play. IRL, players are much more understanding of player talent, coaches and how they run their schemes, and their pecking order on the depth chart. I shouldn't be forced to play a player X amount of minutes just because he thinks I should and in turn, I shouldn't have to be forced to not have my best lineup out there most of the time so I can kiss guy's ***** who don't really deserve to be playing under the current circumstances.
I know coming from me this will seem bizarre, but its rather UNREALISTIC.
