I want the ones who put little time or little money into budgeting to get that 53 coach.

@ mitchrapp: $1.8 isn't a lot of money to you? It is to me. I find it hard to beleive that there weren't enough little league coaches available to teach fielding drills to my ML players.

Should have budgeted 20m than on coaches. The only time I got a low FI like that was when, either I skimped on coaches budget or I was lazy.

Should have just bought the Tom Emanski video. It is endorsed by Fred McGriff. You could have about saved $1,799,950.

I thought the idea of HBD was to model major league baseball. In what ML franchise is the Fielding Instructor the highest paid coach in the organization? Additionally I shouldn't have to budget $20 million in coaching to land an Fielding Instructor over 60 - especially when I can sign a 75+ rated hitting/pitching coach for $600k.

I realize they "fixed" it but budgeting $20 mill on coaching shouldn't be a requirement to land a serviceable fielding instructor at any point. You budget $20 mill when you want the BEST Coach at every role and level, not when you are hoping to land a 75 rated FI.

Define "serviceable".

And explain why you get to determine what budgeting 20m means.

I think I'd have a hard time not getting the best coaches across the board with $20M, even if I had to pay $6M for a FI.

Coach hiring is still a crap shoot......as long as you have owners..you will have "bidding wars" and battles to fill spots... Honestly it is what I kind of missed the last few months.... I know of an owner I was in a World with( The_Kid) he lived for coach hiring...was kind of funny to see.

I have had 14 mil budgeted and still managed to get excellent coaches....

2 of my worlds that just started, each owner can get at least a 75 rated FI. That's too easy.

I got excellent coaches for $6M.
