Just lower your expectations for DITR's. Stop complaining that your 17th rounder every year is not magically turning into Albert Pujols.
Seriously, people need to stop expecting that they should be getting surprise studs every season, and if they don't, then DITR is broken or should just be discontinued.
Take it for what it is. Not for what it isn't.
"It is time to either get rid of D(Diamond)ITRs or make them live up to the description." "I could argue for either approach"
To bad you can not read carefully or think, Tecwrg - Presently, I expect nothing from DITRs, because nothing is all it ever delivers. If that is how it is going to stay then just get rid of it. If DITRs is going to be kept then rename it (I am warming to TITRs) or fix it. As things are, DITRs is an annoyance that should be put out of its misery. (Makes me wonder if the people who thought up DITRs are also responsible for the crap coming out of DC)
Jesus. What a stupid argument.
Complaining about DITRs is like complaining that you never won a $100m Powerball jackpot, even though you've purchased 2 tickets a week for the past 10 years. Should you write a letter to the people who run PB and tell them that they should just discontinue the lottery or make changes to the format of the lottery because, damnit, you've never won?
Think of DITRs as free lottery tickets. Most of the time, you get zero. Sometimes, you win $5 or $10. But there's always a chance, however minute, that you'll win something substantial.
