Thanks Arvid! I opened the league up to anybody on Yahoo that wants to play. I am surprised that we can't get more players than this from WIS! Hopefully we can get some players from here at the last minute.

If it's free I'll play. If there's a collection for prize money, I'll pass. Been burned too many times on that kind of deal in yahoo/espn leagues.

Its free now but I would like to get a prize pot going to make it more fun. I understand your point Josh but I would think you would trust Arvid and I since we have been playing on here for several years.

Sure I trust you and arvid. But what I've seen in the past in such leagues that are opened to anyone is someone getting in with two accounts, waiting until a few owners stopped paying attention, then trading studs for crap from one team to another when there aren't enough owners watching to veto. On pay sites like WIS, I've found that customer service will at least sometimes make a rational decision to reverse such deals, especially with a veteran commissioner taking a stand. On yahoo and any other free site, I've never seen any response other than "because the deal wasn't vetoed, it stands." Having twice lost a lead in such a league and watched some sleazebag cheat his way to the pot, I've learned my lesson.

If every spot were taken by a WIS player with a track record, I'd be good with a pot.

yeah. i only joined bc i thought dmoss was putting up money!

then i figured it wouldnt be cool to bail on him, hes a solid guy, after finding out he wasnt.

...i joined danmam yahoo basketball league, 10 prepaid. there was such obvious collusion with no recouyrse that i straght quit. i voiced my concerns on deaf ears. sooo, i;'m with you. but a free league...yeah im cool w/that
