Barney Schultz, Neftali Feliz or Cisco Carlos, depending on how many innings you want.

Me either.

I always use Milacki and the $900/k Bob Wickman as my closer.

Cisco's one of my favorites.

I used to use 24 Adams a lot;haven't gone with in a while. 28 Haid used to be money as well, but again I haven't used him in months.

24 adams seems like such a steal for under 1.5 mil but he has really been mediocre for me lately. 95 mike bierbeck is a good low ip guy for under 1 mil or 09 brad penny's partial season. pairing them with milacki should make a solid closer

Adams' and Haid's walk totals are really high for whatever reason. Over 3 per 9 innings. They are reasonably priced, but not steals. Definitly deceiving.

cisco carlos has always been money for me. Roy mitchell is a decent choice as well at around 1.8M.

I never make a team without Carlos as my closer when his is available.

'05 Matt Cain is $1.9. I usually get a load of saves and a spot start out of him. A few too many walks, but that .151 OAV is tough to beat.

Better put him in the correct park, he gives up dingers (quite a few actually, my experience is that he underperforms in giving up the HR) and I don't like closers that give up the long ball

I'd have to look back at stats for me, I almost always play in even or -1 homer parks. I don't think he's ever had an ERA over 3.50 for me and I've used him at least ten times. He's about 4 in a league for me right now, but a lot of season to bring it down.

how is milacki's 27 innings a closer???
what am i missing?
4/11/2010 12:38 AM
Milacki plus a second pitcher that is low innings and high performance

I have not tried it yet myself, will probably try it in my next OL, if I had to pick I'm leaning towards McDowell with his low ERC

in my latest theme team I used the Highball with Milacki and considering it plays like a 140-160 with top owners, its alright and cheap but they get tired too quickly

I like 2002 Francisco Cordero. His stats don't blow you away but his walks and OAV are both low enough to keep him from getting hammered by the wrong team and he generally keeps the ball in the park.
