How long does HBD CS usually take? Topic

I'm trying to start a new world with some guys I know from HD and other places on WIS. I have 29 owners so far that i've got together (with more offers out there) 25 of which have less than 2 seasons experience and no teams currently including 13 guys who haven't played before.

Is a ticket the best way to go about requesting a world? Will we be able to get a world?

Thanks in advance!

Yeah, send a ticket.

However, I think it will be awhile before they allow another. Theres a thread in the sim league live where they stated that they would likely allow theirs to start in June. My guess is it will be a long wait after that one. Since theirs will be the 3rd new one in 1-2 months after none in over a year.

That would be unfortunate if we had to wait a few months just to get a world when I've already done the leg work to get owners most of which don't play the game now.

Hopefully its not necessary.

You probably should have sent the ticket first, before doing all the leg work.

Don't buy the apple tree before you've found a place to plant it?

Haha, I figured that if I went to WIS with my list of 32 guys already made i'd be more likely to have a world created for us than if I asked with no commitments.

From talking to CS, it may be possible for tannermcc to get a world started, but they are spacing out the creation of these to avoid having all the worlds rolling over at once (my theory only, could be wrong).

tannermcc, if you are looking to start a new world, keep reaching out to CS to determine if/when they might be able to create your league. It may not be until June, but it's better than nothing. For those of us who have been waiting over a year, what's a few more weeks/months?

Good luck to you

I think WifS got burned with too many worlds before. I know they gave away 200+ seasons. It seems to me that they would be very careful with allowing supply to outweigh demand again.

Although it does suck for you.

I think I had lucky timing. I didnt have any commitments when I asked. But it only took a day to find owners that met the requirements. So, coming with the commitments probably wouldnt be a game changer.

The thing that makes me believe they might be more inclined to help us out is the fact that I have my list of guys already made and it includes 28 guys who don't currently have a team and have very little experience. However, these 28 have at least 1000 dynasty games played over in Hoops so clearly they are loyal WIS customers and won't be one and dones unless they really hate it.

Yeah maybe. Im sure youd be looking at a timeframe after that next world, assuming they dont feel they are having a problem filling the current worlds at that point.

Is this the same world ACEROTHSTEIN is promoting in the classifieds? If thats another new one (that has approval), I would say they are definately going too far.

This one doesn't have approval. Not the same world either. I don't like using classifieds to go around looking for members. I take a much more personal approach to it.

makes sense...too many new leagues have been proven time and time again to be bad for the game...

The one world, Murph's world, and the recent one that looks like it will be allowed -- seems to have the policy of 8 new owners at least. Send a ticket and see what their terms are on a new world.
