Something still seems to be off. I just gave my line-by-line for Game 1 - World Allen a look over and I still have guys that are set at (-2 3pt shot) taking them. Also the foul situation seems to be out of whack again. I had one guy (my starting SG) foul out, one guy with 4 fouls, and 4 guys (3 of them starters) with 3 fouls. My opponent had 3 guys with 4 fouls and another with 3. I played a +2 Man, my opponent played a -1 2/3 Zone, and we ended up with 52 fouls combined. I went 21/29 from the line and my opponent went 28/40. IMHO something is still out of whack.

I think fouls may still be a bit high. First take away the 3 intentional fouls and 6 FTs in the last minute. Which leaves 49 fouls and 63 FTs.

23 fouls resulting in 25+ FTs against Belmont Abbey may become common place for a Fullcourt Press.

Shepherd has one player with a A- IQ in M2M, two with B+ and everyone else at B- or below. That's looks like a trend in the early games I've looked at. Lower IQs are fouling a lot more than we were used to.

For what it's worth, the amount of fouls does seem high, although I think most people are acknowledging that.

I don't know about pouty, but the almighty HD guru dalter told me that one game is "literally meaningless" thus I must believe him...the game is operating perfectly...be gone.

I agree with Iguana, I think one thing does seem to be a trend, is that fouls are up for:

Pressing Teams & All teams with B and C level defensive IQs.

I agree court. There was a big change. I'm not complaining, as I have a good FT shooting team, and was always annoyed when I'd play a press team and go a game with like 12 fouls on them.

Colonel, I'm not a conformist myself and never will be. I love a good debate and a good arguement, but when I want to debate or argue a point with someone or some group, I back my point of the arguement up with Facts and Research, not snide remarks, opinions, and 2 year old whining.

Under normal circumstances, I would have agreed with your initial post, however I've received the message that one game is "literally meaningless" and I have no choice but to agree...this Kool-Aid tastes kind of funny....

In the Belmont Abbey-Shepherd game, Belmont Abbey played a Fullcourt Press.

In the latest games in the test world, it's not uncommon to see 35-40 fouls against a Fullcourt pressing team with good (A/B) IQs. Some teams have players averaging 4.5 - 4.9 fouls per game. That just seems a bit excessive.

I believe the RL NCAA D1 averages are a little over 18 fouls per game. With a team low of around 14 and a team high of about 25. The RL FT numbers are around 20 attempts per game. With a team low of around 14 and a team high just under 30.
