If the game truly is random.... Topic

Every one who claims the came results are as random as a coin flip, how do you explain the perennial success of coaches like Lostmyth, or Oldresorter, or Tannermcc?

Its obvious that some coaches use cheat codes. Next question?

They use double headed coins, ha ha.

Anyone ever play D&D with dice ... same thing here.

For every play there are a set number of possibilities, a certain % probability based on the matchup. A number is generated, the result is looked up. Maybe an injury, maybe a drive, maybe a 3 pointer, a block, a steal, etc.

Its not rocket science.

Well no **** Einstein, I'm sure no one had ever figured that out before your brilliant D & D explanation.

News flash!!! Stop the presses!!! Hughes has actually figured out the nuts and bolts of how the game is simulated!! Fricking amazing!!! Give this man a shiny nickel.

Results are random, but that doesn't mean they are like a coin flip. Different probability distributions are used in simulations, distributions can be very skewed and different from each other

When I win, it's my skills. When I lose, its the RNG ;)

The way people are posting, it seems they don't or can't understand this very simple concept .. just trying to help.

BTW, your sarcastic BS is quite helpful. Thanks for the personal attack when all I was trying to do was help. Fricking amazing!!! Give this man a shiny nickel

Hey Hughes, I was in an extremely bad and hostile mood last night. I know that's not an excuse, just trying to present my mindset. It WAS harsh and definitely uncalled for and for this I apologize, with all sincerity.

Dogget, no past baggage between Hughes and I, just caught me in the wrong mood last night. It was an unwarranted attack and I apologize to all those coaches (and Hughes, specifically) who had to read that nonsense.

Kudos emy1013. How rare is it for someone to admit they over reacted and over up an apology in these forums?

There are two possible outcomes of the game: I win or I lose. Therefore, it's 50-50 I will win.
