Manual all-star voting will never happen.

not something i'd like to spend time combing through always.  maybe sometimes when i have time i'd do it.

In theory it would be great, but I'm guessing there wouldn't be a ton of people voting for much outside of regular league studs and their own players.  Perhaps if they gave you a list of options at each position, then let you choose one w/ the an autovote if no vote is made similar to postseason awards.  Limit it to 3-5 options, the winner in the "coaches vote" gets the starting nod, the computer chooses the back up.

What part of "except your own players" did you not understand?

If you don't get to vote for your own players, a lot of people won't vote.  Or they might vote for the least deserving so their player gets a better shot.

idk. i suppose the downsides are possible, but i don't think that they would out-weigh the benefits. i just think it would be a neat idea.

Nobody gives a **** about the ASG.  Why waste programming time on something that has absolutely nothing to do with gameplay?

it's not about the asg itself. it's about the award of being an all-star. you don't care about awards?

You can extend that to real life.
The only joy in it is sitting at the park punching out the little dots. I think nameless is looking for the HBD equivalent. I'm ok with that, especially since it exists already for end of year voting.

how about just the "extra player" just like the fans vote for the current game.
