WHEN DRAFTING, please SITEMAIL the next two owners that they are up/on deck.  If you are going to miss your slot (god forbid we make it to Monday when we go on the clock), send a proxy list to the 2 owners behind you AND myself.

 

Rules

1.) DRAFT a franchise. You get any player who appeared in at least one game on that team in the history of the team. But you can use any season for that player, regardless of whether they played for your team or not (//www.basketball-reference.com/teams/), any year of that player that you like. No clones.
2.) You must use a arena from your franchise.
3.) You get $47 Mil to make your team, not the standard $42 mil.
4.) Must use a team name in franchise history. Keep it simple, EX: Oklahoma City Thunder, New Orleans Hornets, New York Nets.

I think the randomizer is a necessary evil for this first season.  Thanks for getting this rolling, ash.  EOL used to be one of my favorite leagues.  And those of us at the bottom of the draft list shouldn't despair too much.  I think it's possible to build a competitive team out of any franchise (especially with the way the combination franchises work), and I'm pretty sure I remember an owner drafting 24th winning a title one season.

This league has always been really balanced top to bottom.  Yes, we'll see Boston and the Lakers go early as we always do, but very competitive teams can be - and have been - built from teams drafted in the 20s.
