As usual, you go spouting off at the mouth to which you don't know entirely what's going on. This is my 2nd season at D1 South Carolina State. I have 6 seniors, 3 juniors, 2 sophomores, and a freshman. The 2 SOs are the ones that are griping because they're both 3rd on their respective depth charts and rightfully so. What am I supposed to do, play them regardless while I risk losing games? That's preposterous. In real life, both of these guys would understand that they aren't as good as the guys ahead of them, and that next year, they WILL BE playing a lot more than this year. To randomly expect 8 minutes per game because seble says so, doesn't sit well with me, ESPECIALLY said when he said he was going to lessen this. At this stage, playing both of those guys 8MPG is detrimental to my team...why shouldn't I be able to run with my best lineup without consequence?
Unless you're John Wall, Kevin Durant, etc...younger players don't play as much as older players, it's just an accepted fact of life...especially in a game with concrete ratings where you know who's better and who isn't.
Again, aside from breaking minute promises, this has no place in the game. You can argue that it makes it more realistic...I'll argue that it makes the game unnecessarily more complex and consequently less fun/more aggravating.
There's a fine line between realism and ridiculousness.
Yes, I'm the one that goes spouting off at the mouth without knowing what's going on.
You're a ******* idiot.
In real life, you're 100% wrong, players just don't simply say, "the guys ahead of me are better, I'm going to sit quietly at the end of the bench". Many, many players in that situation either (a) rightly or wrongly, think they're better than the guy ahead of them or (b) don't really care, they simply want to play. Not everyone, of course, but plenty of guys.
If you think otherwise, you clearly haven't spent any time around a college basketball or football team. It's the nature of the beast -- most guys riding the bench are unhappy about it.
