LP guard vs. Per Guard Topic

  A B
Ath 65 50
Spd 80 65
Def 60 55
LP 40 1
Per 45 80
BH 65 70
P 65 85

This is for div 2...Would you take A for the ATH, SPD, and LP despite the big disadvantages in PER and PAS?

yes.  especially if A can rebound.
8/9/2010 10:00 PM
Neither of these guys can rebound.

depends on there pot and iq.  are they both fr?
8/9/2010 11:23 PM
this is what they will become...both will max out...both know my defense coming in.

If B has high potential for SPD (or if A has low potential for SPD), I'd take B. If their SPD were equal, to me, B's advantages in PER and PAS are more important than A's ATH. But if A is going to keep having a 15-pt SPD advantage the next 4 yrs, then yeah, I would take him.

If this is what they will look like once they max out, then I like A.

can't you take both - and play A at SF some of the time?

I would find another option that was better.  they would be ok if he had rebounding at 30 +

In every thread about recruits you say something pretty much like this.  IMO, both of these guys would be pretty good d2 PGs, but they are both BACKUPS for me to a guy hopefully that is good enough.  I'm in a bloody battle for him and it is very close.  Just in case I lose, I wanted to be able to make a quick decision about who to go after.  So I did find another option that was better.  Also, why do these PGs need 30+ rebounding?

If youre looking for a backup point I might take B then. Better BH and passing.

If they had reb then they could play sf since neither is a championship caliber pg. Ill hold my thoughts from you.  never mind what i said good luck

If you took offense I apologize.  I do enjoy reading your posts and I do value your opinion.  Just because I had a small beef with what you said doesn't mean I want you to hold your thoughts from me.

Sorry I took it the wrong way.  But yes I feel that a pg needs to be as close to 90 in spd,bh,and pass as a senior.  Everything else is just a bonus imho

8/10/2010 11:32 AM
Well this guy(as a senior) comes pretty close:
ATH 70
SPD 90
REB 35
DEF 80
LP 1 with high
PER 70
BH 80
PAS 75

This is the guy I'm battling for.  It's going to be really close, but I think I'm going to lose out on this one.
