You wouldn't have been qualified because to be qualified for those low level d1 jobs you need A+ loyalty and you weren't at SCSU long enough to amass A+ loyalty.

But I would have been eligible for other jobs had I renewed...why does when I purchase my season, matter?

When you bought your season doesn't matter as you would NOT have been qualified for any other d1 jobs.

dude, had I renewed, I would have been at D1 and would have been offered other D1 jobs.  After my first season at D1, I was eligible for 2 other D1 jobs than the one that I had...it was a far cry from the 20 or so jobs open after my back to back NTs at D2, but I was still eligible for some D1 jobs, no matter how bad...I kind of expected that to happen again...

I guess I am mistaken.  The game is screwing you.

The snide comment wasn't needed there, just saying.

When you failed to renew your team you in essence quit that coaching job. After quitting your loyalty rating fell, hurting your resume.

Am I missing something here?

how long were you at SCSU?  even if you are already at DI, it takes a few seasons to be eligible for another DI job.  If you do not have an A+ loyalty rating, you would be "qualified" for several DI jobs, BUT - you would of been instantly rejected based on your "low" loyalty.

agreed you were "qualified" for the other jobs, but you would have been rejected based on loyalty concerns of not having the A+

In addition you mention guys griping about minutes and leaving, which would hurt your reputation rating(though I'm not certain that has effect on jobs).

What a shame...I disagree with that entire premise.  IRL, if a coach resigns from a job where he won 41 games in 2 seasons, he's not automatically cast aside because he isn't "loyal" enough.  I think my loyalty was at an A- or A?...I wouldn't mind seeing a slight adjustment to the system...I expected to at least be eligible for a handful of D1 jobs...again, what a shame.

Only if there were promises involved would it hurt his rep.  Otherwise, no.

colonels - it is a good system - the reason is to keep people from job hopping and cherry picking teams.  otherwise, a mediocr coach will take over a good team, run it down and then next season move to another.  the loyalty factor is needed
