I got this PF, who's high potential in everything except spd and passing, but he's only on 28 WE and 43 stamina...obviously, I slapped a RS on him hoping the one extra year will get him closer to maxing out and have higher stamina, but I feel like this guy will next max out his stats and stamina will be way too low even by his SR* year.

Here are his stats:

Athleticism 24

Speed 35

Rebounding 44

Defense 35

Shot Blocking 43

Low-post 50

Ball Handling 24

Sure why not? He'll probably never reach his full potential and his stamina will probably top out around 65-70, which is still really bad, but it looks like he'll be a solid player for the 15-20 minutes that he does play.

That's not a PF. He could be a very useful SF.

Is this D3 or?  I recruited a guy once because he had HIGH pots everywhere, but he was a 99 WE...personally, I think this could bite you a bit.

Yeah its D3. I really wasn't paying much attention and completely missed his low stamina. I think this guy won't turn out well.

I don't really like him as a player because of his stamina and work ethic. His stamina won't get better fast enough because of the 28 WE. If he was a 70 WE, he would be a much better prospect.

Use him as your "utility player". Meaning as your 3rd string backup at both SF & PF next year after he's done with his Red Shirt this season.

I think he'll be a solid player by his senior year if not his junior year...  That's a couple years of him being mediocre, but it'll pay off with a useful utility player in the end.  I like to have a few guys that can move around to help combat fatigue/foul trouble...

be sure to allocate 20 mins to conditioning while he is on his redshirt year and his FR year - you want to build ATH and STAM early so he can get more minutes sooner and then grow faster....if you have to short some skills in practice, go lighter elseweher but emphasize conditioning

personally, my second emphasis would be REB - even if it takes him a while to be an offensive contributor, get that REB up so he can play useful minutes

I currently have him at 20 ath, 11 reb, 11 fw, and min in everything else so they don't decline. I have 25/25 in motion/zone because the last coach switched the team's off/def, and I need to raise the IQ of everyone. And with 5 FR 3 SO, they can use the 25min to raise IQ anyways.

i recruited the d1 equivalent of that guy at NC State-- Kenneth Gould. He was high-high in STA, started at 45. Went up 15 in year one, he's now at 65STA 8 games into season 2. I think He'll get another 10 or so and be a very good role player for me.

I just recruited the worlds biggest project (ie: PF with 17 reb, 6 lp) to be my 12th man on my Eastern CT team.  He's got a 91 work ethic, freakishly high athleticism and def for D3 and some high-high's in some of the bigger cores (which unfortunately are un-realistically low at this point).

Figure it's a no risk high reward kind of thing...he'll redshirt and maybe 3 or 4 seasons from now when he's a junior or senior he can be a contributor if not a little bit more.

He's a decent D3 SF/PF off the bench.
