Next year i am looking to go to a D1 school next year that has a baseline prestige of C and a current prestige of D-. Below is my resume for the last 4 years i am still in my 4th season but should be going to the NT assuming i just get into the NT think this will be enough?

Season Coach OverallW-L Home W-L Road W-L Neutral W-L Conf W-L Rank RPI Prestige Notes
31 joshj87 11-4 5-1 6-3 0-0 5-0 24 22 -

FYI i tried spacing out so the numbers are in line but it doesn't seem to work.

Without knowing the school you are looking to move to, I would say a Sweet 16 or better gets you the job.  Good luck.

Don't hijack my thread i want to know what people think, there has been a lot of conversation about the hiring logic so we'll see how much everyone knows.

You may need to win a tourney game or 2, but this resume should qualify you for all D- jobs, I think.

Though I'm pretty sure the MVC has decent prestige in general and is one of the tougher mid-range conferences to jump directly into, 160+ overall wins and 3 straight NTs ought to do it. I'm a little surprised you weren't eligible for it after the Final 4 last season...

I think with a sweet 16 you will be eligible for sure.  I made a MVC team at a D prestige with back to back sweet 16s (under this ID).  With a 2nd round you have a good shot of making it too, but probably won't make it with 1st rnd loss.

I say not qualified, Reinsel had a long, high quality DIII career (250 wins),  and then added 2 back to back S-16's @ DII before going to the Valley.  I had 300 wins between DIII and DII before getting the Creighton job (may have been qualified earlier but I don't think so). I don't think 150 wins gets a DI job outside of the lowest conferences.
The D- looks low but the Valley's conference prestige I think makes it too high for you (IMHO).

i didn't know overall wins was considered i thought it was just the last 4 years of your resume.

Overall wins matters.  D3 wins are worth less than D2 wins.  I think I had around 200 D3 wins and 50 D2 wins.

Everything I've been seeing overall wins mean nothing

Job promotions can be frustrating. I think we need to look at how we're determining success and maybe expand that window from the past 4 seasons to include something for the entire body of work. Loyalty is also a problem in some situations where it's preventing movement more than we'd like.

from a dev chat, nowhere in there does he meantion overall wins just the last 4 years.
