It's easy to make your own.  Just copy and paste the ratings of the players you like.  Enter your formulas, based on the skills you value most,  and you're ready to go

I'm sure there is something better out there then I would be able to put together

I decided to start making my own. It's been rocking so far.  I've learn more about excel, and nothing about HD.  In a couple of months, If you want a mediocre team, boardmail me for the spreadsheet

OK, here is how dumb I am: at one point, I had programmed formulas into my graphing calculator that take a player's ratings and give him a number at each position for how effective he will be there.  Which is really dumb, since (a) any time I get on the computer I have access to Excel but don't necessarily have my graphing calculator handy and (b) it is quicker to cut and paste ratings into Excel than it is to enter them, one number at a time, into my calculator.

But at least you have some use for your calculator now.  I'm sure the $100 you spent on that Texas Instruments TI-847463 is being put to good use finally!  Other than typing "80085" over and over.

lol... funny davis.

i have a program somewhere, or maybe its lost forever, that can import recruit ranking w/ potential off the search screen. but it misses the ratings that are not displayed there. which i think was ft shooting and gpa or something. but you can't put recruits in off the recruiting page nor can you put in single guys. so to compare a few guys you have already identified, its basically totally useless... the only good part was some math library i stole from somewhere that let you put in formulas in a cool way right in the program, sort of like if you were writing the code yourself, but without having to recompile (and thus it was easier to manage, because you didn't have like 100 formulas randomly scattered that you had to continue looking for). but the math library kept expiring so i would have to continuously steal it and i got too lazy. also, i realized it was a lot easier to just use excel. but i hate excel (well, i hate microsoft and thus refused to use excel) and open office excel sucks so i just gave up and did it by hand again. the moral of the story is, whatever you do now, you will probably throw away later and then wonder why you wasted so much time on that crap!

I adapted a crude version of Maddiesdad that I have used with GD.  Look at the formulas and it should be obvious how you use its.  If you need help using it post here and I will try to help.

Phoenix FTW

Phoenix kicked ***.  And galaxian... basically the same thing, less levels, but I was better at it and had my name all over the high scores on everybody's calculators.  I'M THE MAN!!!

Drug Wars was cool too.  Gotta make that cash money...

And @ gillispie - Open Office Calc does suck, macros are way less intuitive and convenient than Excel.  Also I'm just used to Excel.  But cheap.

ti-85 ftw

Everyone weighs player attributes differently. I simply made my own by weighing different factors, such as spd = 1.2x ath for a guard, so if ath = 0.2, then spd = 0.24, and then weigh per, bh, passing, etc. according to ath and speed. If I would trade off 1 spd for 4 per, then each per is worth 0.06. This scale would be adjusted for PF/C. It's really pretty simple. I would send you my sheet but I'm sure some of the other guys have better stuff with enabled macros. I do alot of my work by copy and pasting which takes a long time.
