Too Expensive for such a short time frame Topic

This post has a rating of , which is below the default threshold.
It's around $0.29 a day.  If that's too much for you, then yeah, you should find a better use for that $0.29.

A)  You haven't even played a game
B)  You're only going to get a max of 4 seasons in a calendar year
C)  It's $24.95 after your first season

Not a bad game, but kind of expensive for the short time frame thats why i wont be back. If I want to play a whole calender year it will cost about $90 ($15 x6). Way too much money.
You're going to be really upset when you find out it's acutally $25 a team....and it's 4 times (not sure where you got 6) a year, making it $100 (unless you buy a 4-pack and/or use credits, which can make it significantly cheaper).

****, pigs must be flying somewhere....I think Mike and I typed virtually the same thing at virtually the same time....

So they start you with $15 and then it goes to $25. I didn"t know that. Thats even worse. $60 at most for a whole calander year would be reasonable.I wouldn"t pay more then that.

Don't then.  Buh bye

You should play the game first before you make judgments on it.

I'm waiting for the inevitable "I've found a better deal" pimping of a competing website from this guy.

I have been playing. . well all this financial crap anyway. They got so much of that and then they cram the actual game playing into such a short time frame and then you have to pay again. Just don"t seem fair. Especially with so many people out of work and the economy the way it is I just feel it should be cheaper. Thats probably why it takes so long to fill up some of these worlds, because of the high cost.. This is the place for suggestions and I spoke my piece so thats all.

The problem with lowering the price (which I'm going to infer is your suggestion) is that there are around 5760 teams (I am assuming 180 worlds).  If they lower the price $1 per season, they'd have to sell an additional 240 seasons (that would be filling an additional 7.5 worlds) every 3 months to just break even.  For ease, I left out credits and the first-season discount.

So let's say they'd actually consider lowering the price.  The most likely landing point would probably be $20/season.  That would be $28,800 less in revenue every 3 months.  Which means they'd need to sell an additional 1440 seasons at $20/season to make that up.  Does this seem possible?

And did you really expect to receive any different response?  Your assessment of "way too much money" is an opinion that is only shared by folks who don't frequent these forums.  Most people reading this love the game and are willing to skip the 2 pizzas every 3 months to play.

.29 a day.   TWENTY NINE CENTS A DAY!!!!!

This is a game not an essentially cost.   Like food, gas, mortgage/rent, clothing, etc.   Is the cost of essentials going down?   No?  Complain about that not something you choose to play.

Like a lot of other things in life, this game is an option.  I don't drink beer like I used to because the extra 20 to 30 bucks (going out and buying for home) is now going somewhere else.  But heres the thing, set aside 2 bucks a week in your drawer at home, under the floormat of your car, etc.  When your season is winding down go grab that money, put it in the bank and pay for your next season.  If you can try doing $4.00 a week and buy a goup of seasons, it is cheaper as said before.  If you are in a league with good owners it is very enjoyable.  Hopefully your not in a league of sharks and tankers or you won't keep playing if they pay you too.

im going out on a limb, and am gonna say you dont have a job yourself, because if you did have a job, pinching .29 cents a day to play wouldnt be a problem, but i am also gonna go out on a limb and also say that since you are unemployed you probably have a ps3 or xbox360, and 20 games for them and probably are playing them now instead of hbd...and at 60 bucks a pop (new) and a ps3 or 360 costing two to 3 bones you have invested 1500, which could buy you 60 seasons, which in 1 leauge would buy 15 yrs of play...just sayin
