Yet another, "Screw Our Best Customers" policy from WIS.

You've spent hundreds/thousands of dollars with us & been a model customer?

Happened to be out of town or had a family crisis the week your world rolled over?

Or maybe you had some credit card issue that wasn't your fault.  (If you're over 30, this has happened to you.)

Too bad.  Your business & loyalty mean nothing to us.

If WIS put some of the time they spend coming up with customer hostile policies into improving or marketing their games, maybe there wouldn't be so many openings?

You have 3 months to find $25 to renew.

I too thought that was a very odd update, especially in light of recent admissions by WIS. The 'Thanks!' at the end was extra weird.

Yeah, I don't disagree but it doesn't seem like something that needs to be announced.    When a request is made just say "You had 90 days to renew.  Sorry."

+1.

I'm not sure why anybody could possibly have a problem with this.

If you need more than 3 months to scrounge togther $24.95, well... maybe you shouldn't be spending it on the ******* internet.

My 8 yr old son could afford a team in 3 months with his weak-a$$ $10/month allowance.

Tufft seems to like to complain.  Pretty much every post I've seen from him recently is either a complaint about something or a whine to dumb the game down.

I tend to wait to the end to renew my teams. If I had lost one of them because of it, I wouldn't even have thought about asking WIS to give it back. Just chalk it up to stupidity or laziness (or both) and move on. I'm gonna have to start crying to WIS more if I make a dumb move and see it they will fix it for me.

What am i missing? As far as i can see, its only applicable to Open worlds, by definition since its open, once it rolls and a team is open first come first serve.. That's what an open league is.

Why did WIS even bother to post this? Did someone at HQ break away from fantasy football and have to deal with an HBD customer issue? Why post something negative that was not necessary. There was no promise before they would get a franchise back for an owner. I'd say a little less posting and a little more QA before "releasing" updates...and maybe a few more updates as well.

"
Due to a recent issue in one of our Hardball Dynasty worlds, we want to be clear on a new policy moving forward:

If an owner fails to renew his franchise for an upcoming season and another owner subsequently takes ownership of said franchise, the previous owner will NOT be reinstated under any circumstances.

Previously, we had looked at these matters on an individual basis.  If a world had not started its next season and the previous owner had committed a great deal of time with a franchise and there were no historical problems with the user and the world, we would reinstate the owner.  Our thought process was owner A had invested a bunch of time and money on a franchise while owner B had invested no time and money, so let's reward the previous owner and forgive his forgetfulness.  This will no longer be the case.

Thank you!"

Due to an issue in one of our worlds, we will retreat into the comfort of strict rule interpretations and leave no room for judgement, or consider the merits of each situation on a case by case basis. I'd like to wake up tomorrow to find this entire thread deleted.

or you could just click on the commit button months before the season ends and not have the worry of losing your team.  Seriously, what the F*ck is this dude crying about..
