How do you know you'll have a top 3 pick next year?

he has the #1 pick, I like Rader a lot. LHP with very high splits and pretty good vs righties. Rader and Campbell are very similar, I usually take splits over pitches.

15-30 now I think he's just guessing.

lol not sure why having a top 3 pick next year has anything to do with who to draft this year, way to confuse everyone :D

Isn't this in the tankers handbook?  Planning for a high draft position next season?

I think tec knows what I was getting at and why I chose to "confuse everyone".

Looks like you've got a 14/14 scouting budget.

Other things to consider:

1)  How far are the current ratings from the projections?  This should give you an idea about how reasonable to projections are, and if they are attainable.

2)  The defensive ratings for the SSs.  Just because they're listed as SS doesn't mean they should play SS when they reach the majors.  Their defensive ratings may have them better suited to play a different position, in which case you may value the hitting ratings differently (i.e. .270/.320/.395 might be acceptable for a good fielding SS, but might be unacceptable for an average fielding 3B).

sorry for the confusion about next years pick.    The point I was trying to make was my team is weak compared to the other team in my league and I will be at the top of the draft again next year.  I went young so in three years, I should be able to win some games.  based on this, I do not feel I have to take a SP, the Best available player is what i was looking for in my opinion.

I really like Radar, but thought those three SS were hard to pass up.

there are a few pretty good SS in this draft, I guess its more of a matter of what your team needs are going forward. Sojo and Benard are pretty damn good

I'd pass on Schulte.  Those splits (15/28) would make for a horrible #1 overall pick.  If he has above average defensive ratings (85+ across the board), he'd be a decent second or third round pick as a defensive specialist with an occasional bit of power in his bat.

Of the other two SS, I'd go with Sojo over Benard because of the power.  But again, you need to consider their defensive ratings.

Cracks me up.. The guy is new to HBD, he takes on a dogshit team and then he's accused of tanking for assuming that his dog **** team will probably still be fairly ****** after 1 season..

Campbell looks like a beast.. You really need to factor in their age and your scouting for each level..
