As someone who loves D2 I have to just say: c'mon you can't do better at a B+ D1 school than to poach a recruit from a D2 school? Man I hate when a D1 school especially a B+ school does that to me when I know there are hundreds of players better who I have no shot at with my D2 team.
Tell me about it, last season, going into signings, I was in the lead for a JuCo PG (D2 prospect) who could of ended up being a stud. He had high potential in athleticism, speed, defense, perimeter, passing, ball handling, stamina, and 89 WE along with solid ratings to begin with. He didn't sign right away, as he was still considering a school from North Dakota (the player was in Maryland or New Jersey I believe). I felt quite confident that I would sign him. Then I wake up the next day to hear him tell me he wasn't sure about about my school. I proceeded to check his recruit profile to find him being considered by a B prestige D1 school. I was ticked off, I had spent 2/3 of my recruiting cash on him (80% after scouting). What got me more mad was when I checked up on his progress, found out the coach had RSed him and his WE dropped to 14, he kept the RS until the CT, and his WE went up to 74 (coach waited to RS him so his WE dropped more). He gained about 40 points all season, he probably would have gained more if he went to my school and wasn't poached by the D1 school.
