Which is the strongest conference across worlds? Topic

Speaking mainly D-1 but we can discuss other levels as well.

The ACC in Naismith is clearly the top dog with the pac-12/Big East sort of being the 2nd tier conferences.

The ACC usually has about 10-11 teams in the top 45 in RPI and 4-7 teams in the Sweet 16.  To me recruit generation in Puerto Rico and the South is way too strong while in Canada and the Midwest is too weak.(in comparison to real life).  Wondered how consistent this was across worlds.

Recruit generation isn't supposed to mimic real life necessarily, it's just based on the distribution of schools, which frankly is a pretty good system for the game I think...

Allen - ACC by a mile.  Big 12, Big10 and Pac 10 are the 2nd tier.

Big East in Wooden.

And the ACC is the worst of the BCS conferences.

ACC in Phelan is completely dominant. They often have something like 9 of the Top 20 RPI, 5 or 6 of the Elite 8 and 2 or 3 of the Final 4. They regularly pull in around $60K in bonus money per team No other conference in Phelan is anywhere near them.

With a set of good coaches, there's really no reason the ACC shouldn't be dominant in every world. The game, intentionally or not, is pretty much set up that way. The ACC is situated perfectly from a geographic standpoint, right smack dab in the middle of the high recruit density east coast, and the average baseline prestige of the ACC schools are nearly a full letter grade higher than the average baseline of all the other BCS schools combined. That combination is deadly.

How's the Gulf Coast in Allen compare to the GLV in Tark?

Don't know, but the Gulf South IS over .6000 RPI every year.  Can't imagine a better D2 conference out there.

Right now in Rupp the D3 Great NE has 11 of the top 12 SOS, with the 12th team at 17.  Also the top 3 in RPI and half of the top 10.  Granted Rupp isn't the strongest D3 world out there.

I don't think any D3 conference is tougher than Wooden-Upstate.  I looked at Naismith-Capital and there are several of the same coaches from Upstate, so they might be similar strength.

SEC in Smith World is definitely dominant. Currently the conference prestige is A-, but it had held steady at a full A rating for a few seasons before that (with no other conference higher than B+).

I think I'd read in the forums once that no other conference had reached a full A rating -- anybody know of an example to prove that wrong?

ACC Allen and Big East Wooden are both A+.

The ACC allen has had 7 of the 8 Elite 8 teams, and I think been averaging about $57,000 in NT money.  The once had all 4 final 4 teams, and the PT winner and runner up.
