Rules

- We are drafting a full 12 man team strictly from the 11-12 player database

- No Salary Cap

- The draft rounds will go as follows: ABBABBABAB (A=draft slot #1, B=draft slot #24)

- In rounds 9 and 10 we will draft two players each

- No clones, wavier wire, or rookies

- You can start any of your 12 draft picks and you may use any one of your players 11-12 seasons, partial or full

- We will be using basically the same drafting rules as the ODL.

- The faster the draft goes the better. 10 rounds can really drag on so everyone needs to do their part to keep it moving. When you make your draft pick you must sitemail the next two owners letting them know they are up next. Check this thread out as often as you can because usually we will be ahead of schedule and your spot may come up sooner then you think.

- If you miss your draft slot time then you will be skipped and the next owner can draft as soon as their time starts, with the next owner after that free to pick right after that. The skipped owner can make that pick anytime they want.

- Proxy lists are very important. If you know you are up soon and you won't be around to make the pick please use a proxy list. This will make the draft go faster and help you to avoid being skipped. Basically what a proxy list is this: Say you are up in 5 picks but know that you're going out for the night and will probably not be around when your pick is up. You would then make a list of the 5 players in order that you want and then sitemail that list to the commish of the league(thats me) and another owner(s) to post your pick for you. It makes the most sense to send it to the person(s) drafting right after you.  You would also want to post in this thread that you sent out the proxy to avoid any problems. If you don't understand the use of proxys please sitemail me or another experienced owner and we will explain it to you.

- For the first round only, if an owner misses their time slot then we will hold up the draft until he picks. Hopefully this won't be an issue as I expect us to be out of the first round by the time we go on a clock.

- Do NOT mention any undrafted players in this thread. You don't want to tip off any owners who may have overlooked that player.

- Once you post your pick it's final

- Feel free to comment about the picks as we go along; talk some trash, compliment a pick, whatever

To determine the draft order I am going to use the lottery. I will assign each one of you a state that has a 3 number lottery being picked sometime Friday, June 1st. The owner with the highest combined score of the 3 numbers wins. Next highest total is second and so forth. If there is a tie, the tiebreaker will be whoever has the highest first number. If that's the same then the second number.

Dh why let people switch at all? Just have everyone go where the lottery places them and we can trade if we want. What are you going to do if three people request the same pick? Or if someone request s a pick and the person you switch out didn't want to move? Sounds like an administrative nightmare. Just make the lottery official and let people trade slots/picks if they want

i didnt make my intentions clear....its not a free for all with requesting draft slots...just the basic closer to 1, closer to 24, and if anyone wants closer to 12

everything will be done in order

so lets say im slotted #12 and the first 11 all go in order...i can request to pick 24th...thatll move #24 up to #23 and so on....

in that scenario...i would sitemail #13 and let them know they are now on the clock at #12....if they also wish to move to #23 then they can post the request and let #14 know they are up

it really shouldnt be that difficult...i dont expect much changing anyway...i just dont want to give away the option of moving closer to 24 in a abba format
