So wait- you're telling us that exactly what we already knew? Thanks for the insight.

This doesn't change a thing. At all. We knew that they couldn't properly police cheating, and that users were to be the police. We also knew that there were users who were upfront about their IDs and such, that got punished because someone got butthurt.

This isn't news.

and it leaves out the over 5 years of history where the game creator allowed multiple teams with no restrictions, and eventually, with a same conference restriction. the game wasnt designed to allow one user multiple teams, but its happened for ever and the game creator/HD admin specifically OKd it on multiple occasions. so its true its not by design, but that really isnt relevant.

actually if i remember correctly, the game creators best friend in the game (well, maybe one of his best, i dont know) carried 26 teams at one time. yes i know, thats an obscenely large number of teams. but hey, if someone wants to, why not? so it was up close and personal for the game creator, he was well aware of the situation and gave his blessing. doesnt matter if he created the game that way or not. its easy to give rights, its hard to take them away. i realize that is common sense 101, but its hard to assume things go without saying here...

Yeah, I'm not really sure how the current WiS regime can possibly state with any authority what the game was designed to include.

they never explain what their course of action would be if they did "definitively" find out who the cheaters were
5/28/2013 10:09 PM
I find that bullshit.  If I have a DI team in Caly and a DIII team in Maine than my team in Caly can FSS any state in the North East.  FSS goes by how many prospects are in a state not the distance.  Actually Cal. would still be more expensive to recruit than Maine, RI, etc...

OJ is still looking for the real killer too.

You guys who justify cheating are pathetic.

I think it's pathetic to start 1,002 threads about it. I think it's pathetic that a handful of users think they are championing a higher moral ground. And I think it's pathetic that they use derogatory terms and put downs to do it.

There are a lot of things I find pathetic, but I usually keep those to myself. Usually.

You know what is really pathetic - it is people who are told the facts, the history, the logic behind this situation and choose to blow it off because it doesn't fit their crusade agenda. The rule of Implied Consent should rightly be applied here. Implied consent is consent which is not expressly granted by a person, but rather inferred from a person's actions and the facts and circumstances of a particular situation (or in some cases, by a person's silence or inaction). It is totally irrelevant whether the game was originally intended to limit a coach to one team per world. That intention (if it ever truly existed) was obviously never enforced. To cite one more example among the myriad already shown, there was once a national championship final game in which the same coach played against himself. I think that is proof enough that the one coach/one team per world rule was non-existant.

So what! Who cares what got us to this point? The rule exists now and anyone who doesn't comply is a dirty no good lying cheater who should be banned for life because I am an anal retentive manchild who will throw a hissy fit if I don't get my way. (sounds of foot stomping) That's what you nuke 'em till they glow impassioned prosecutors say. Well you certainly have a right to your opinion but your don't confuse me with the facts, my mind is made up attitudes make me question your credibility. Your approach sounds more like vengance than justice to me. But hey, that's just my opinion.

At this point, it kind of looks like Steinnavy, Hughes, and Nacho on one side and everyone else on the other.  Weena summed it up well in his post above.

Wow, I guess perspective is everything. I'm in with whichever side says this game should be for all to enjoy. I'm not with people who don't know what implied consent is but tell me it is something it is not.
Long story shorter, I use to fish a part of a river that was great for fishing. For ten years I fished that spot up and down and rarely saw anyone. I could move freely and cast however I wanted. Then a family started fishing there too. I sometimes wish I could throw my line right over the top of the kids' line or push the wife out of one of my favorite spots but I haven't done either of those yet. Wish I had a few of you guys in my ear next time I'm fishing

long story short - part two.....as long as people are willing to pay $12/season, you can have as many teams in the same world as you can afford.
PERIOD.

they don't care about making things equal for everyone - ie. one team, per world, per coach. it's a rule that they don't enforce - they've stated as much.

boys, this is Merika - where capitalism rules, and sometimes ruins, everything.
