I'm not trying to get anyone in trouble or anything, I'd simply like your opinion of something like this so I would have some kind of guidelines/baseline for a reaction going forward.

A user from another conference posted this towards a conference mate of mine while recruiting was ongoing, before signings had begun...

"***..very foolish. You do not have the cash needed for Gilmore."

Thoughts?

Thank you for your time and review. Take care.

Hi Trevor,

Thank you for letting us know about this issue. We have sent a warning to ???????????.

Posting recruiting information, specifically money spent, is a violation of our FairPlay Guidelines.

Please let us know if this continues in the future.

Thank you.

So there

oddly, the posting that is quoted did not state money spent and it is hard to see that it included any "information".  It was a statement of his opinion based on his knowledge of budgets, prestige etc one assumes.  So, the answer is self contradictory.

It may still be a bad idea to post such a statement - and maybe contrary to some guideline, but support flunks this formulation of an answer.

and colonels, after your railing against people who complain when a coach uses 2 teams to attack them, how they should just deal with it themselves, not be *******, and the 50 other insulting statements you made - dont you realize what a hypocritical tool it makes you to go crying to CS over this petty nonsense? thats rhetorical, by the way

If you read my ticket, I'm solely using this as a gauge.  I won't ever send another ticket of this nature even if it's clear that X player is in direct violation of the fair play guidelines.  You guys were arguing right/wrong in my other thread, and I wanted an/the "official" answer, and though it is a bit vague and seems to have missed the mark a bit, it does say "posting recruit information" which is all-encompassing to me.

I wanted clarification and my ticket proves that.

it sounded like you were looking to be embattled for some reason, in the other thread, so i figured id try to help you out with that :)

besides, your ticket proves nothing, except that you like to run to CS like a little girl. asking for clarification is clearly a poorly planned ruse.

So there
did you stick your tongue out at everyone while you typed this?

You beat me to it with your comments, Gillispie. It didn't matter how you prefaced your question to CS. If there was something wrong with it, which you must have thought, CS wasn't going to let it slide once it was brought to light. As someone who read your tirade against stinenavy and others, I too find your actions to be hypocritical.

After some thought I admitted this is a gray area, but part of me feels that this information is so easy to obtain that it's not really giving anything away. But if CS says it's a violation then so be it.

But this actually shows some hypocrisy for when I got warned for something very similar when it was the opposing coach who acknowledged that he was being "poached." Was it not the other coach who was the one who initially gave out information about what another school was doing, by putting in the CC that I was "poaching" him? I can't say with certainty but I'm pretty close to 100% sure that other coach did not get a warning.

Again, there was a mixed bag of responses in the other thread, thus I wanted to get a definitive answer from the ruling body here.  Kmason kept questioning my "opinions" so I went out and got some "facts".  It's dumb to have an argument about something when you don't even consider what would happen in a "real world" circumstance.

My main thing about you simply stating your opinion was your notion that their should be no talking at all during recruiting. You also said that type of behavior would drive new coaches away, which is obviously an opinion.

I really don't have a big problem with this not being allowed, but like I said, the information the coach gave away is something that is so easy to obtain I'm not sure it's a big deal.
