Dear WhatifSports Topic

at the moment I am looking at a floating MSNnews banner in the middle of whatever forum page I may be perusing - it obscures the first several posts and has no 'X' click - this has been going on (and off) for several days

it is internet commonplace that paying users don't have to put up with such advertising - - I have something in the neighborhood of 5-6 paid for teams in two sports active at the moment so I am in fact a paying user

so kindly sit on your own boot a-holes - take that **** down

Can you remove that obnoxious MSN news ad that is so big that I can't read forum posts at the top of the screen?

Hi Nick,

We've not seen this ad but if you see it again please let us know and provide as much info about the ad as you can and we'll look into it further.

I'm still seeing it. It drops down outside of that spot you have for advertising at the top of the forum pages. It says, "News from all points of view. MSN News. Take a look." I took a screenshot of it if you want me to email that to you.

Frazzman posted this in another thread unrelated to the ad, but after I did this little "fix", the ad didn't show up larger than the banner field anymore.  So it fixed both things.

"Under Tools (Alt+X) you can add www.whatifsports.com to your "Compatibility View Settings" and it will allow you to bold/ital/etc."

Use Firefox with Adblock.

I think you guys may be missing the point but thanks for your helpful suggestions nonetheless

just download adblock for firefox or chrome. it even gets rid of youtube ads

yeah, again, thanks, but....

Felonius was trying to make a point: that the ad was disrupting the already disappointing quality of the site (especially of SLBK). While the suggestions are helpful, he was trying say to that the ad shouldn't have been there in the first place.

something like that, yeah

I use AdBlock Plus for Chrome. Maybe you could try that?

Sorry, I couldn't resist.
