I had his name typed in. Changed at last second because I thought the usage/eFG combination gave me more roster flexibility. Trading down was probably the best option but I didn't want to hold things up.

A lot depends on what you're envisioning around them, but I think you made the right call. Don't see Paul's D and assists edge quite overcoming Curry's usage/efg advantage.

there's plenty of big usage guys in this year's crop, even in an ABBA format. paul gives you more of what you need to build a contender, and his usage, efg% and 3's aren't chopped liver either. anyway... curry or paul, u can't go wrong

I was thinking Paul as #1 also, didn't know if I was crazy for that. Curry is a good choice though.

drafting hassan in the 3rd was a bit of a stretch, i know... but man, what a bang for the buck!
5/29/2015 1:49 AM
Yeah I was considering him and Howard for my 4th pick if they were still on the board. I wanted 3 guys with decent minutes before I considered lower minute guys. The other stud lower minute guy I'm thinking of doesn't really fit what I'm doing.

Hassan was a great pick. I was hoping to take him that round too unfortunately
5/29/2015 4:41 PM
yeah, i saw your proxy, you had him first. i wanted ibaka, but serge got drafted. still, i wanted to draft a pg, but THAT name... H A S S A N... like a lingering whisper. that's what happens when one talks to himself. i pulled the trigger (to the temple)  :)

Some thoughts about the draft up to this point...

*Could have a problem coming up. Smokey said he's out if the draft order remains the same. I do agree that the ABBABB format was a mistake, but that's what everyone signed up for including him. The time to discuss it was before the draft started. At this point, dropping out and leaving a half drafted team isn't cool. What can we do, void the last round and start over? That doesn't seem right.

*When I made my last pick, I had a list of 10 guys I wanted. With my pick due in 20 minutes, only one of them remain and he was at the end of the list. Hoping no one takes him while I'm typing this to past the time until my pick. With a ABBAB ect format I would've had a chance to get Amare or Jennings who I had at the top of my list and recently were picked. But oh well.

*I really don't like my team lol. While my position in the draft order hurt my chances, most of my problems are self inflicted. I was driving when I picked Ed Davis, had targeted Asik who had just been taken, and didn't even consider Bogut who DH took a couple of picks later. I think that was a mistake. Had wanted Durant in the 5th, but logged in 5 minutes too late as bf had taken him as a late pick into my time slot.

*I like DHs team a lot. Most of the top 6 picks teams look good so far despite the format. I like how Krishna got Brook Lopez and D Jordan together. They compliment each other nicely. Robusk B should be a monster on the boards. Really I feel a combination of the draft pool and draft format has helped make the teams at the top and bottom of the draft order the strongest, but that's just my opinion.

i think the current rl nba trend of monitoring mins is going to kill this league....just not enough high min guys anymore

look at the number of 2500+ min guys each season since i started this league...

14-15  -  31
13-14  -  49
12-13  -  52
11-12  -  46
10-11  -  63
09-10  -  59

thats a pretty big drop from previous years...the number of $6m+ players were cut in half from last year as well

For what it's worth, I liked your ed Davis pick.
