Okay, here’s how the drafting of Free Agent players is going to go:

If your team’s winning percentage is 1251 or higher, they get one Free Agent;
If your team’s winning percentage is between 1176 and 1250, they get two Free Agents;
If your team’s winning percentage is between 1101 and 1175, they get three Free Agents;
If your team’s winning percentage is 1100 or below, they get four Free Agents.

The draft will be started by the team/owner with the lowest winning percentage in each division and wind its way up.

There is no reason for any of these short drafts to be held up by anyone for any reason (barring emergencies) so I’m instituting a 24-hour rule. Once the draft begins, any owner who takes longer than 24 hours to make a pick can be skipped. Since we’re doing these drafts in “thejuice6’s Theme League Draft Forum”, sending someone a proxy should be a piece of cake. Again, if you can’t make your pick on time, send someone a proxy.

The Teams/Owners involved in this draft are:
1964-1965: Cincinnati Reds - 1142 (TOYSBOYS)
1964-1965: Baltimore Orioles - 1129 (DUFFERMAN)

Tough choice here, but we'll grab 1964 Dean Chance

With all of LA's pitching, I didn't expect a pitcher to be the first pick.  I'll go with 1964 Joe Horlen White Sox

Jim Bunning - P - 64 Phillies

It has been 24 hours, so I believe I am eligible to pick:

1964 Ron Santo
6/7/2015 3:51 PM
1964 Mickey Mantle
6/7/2015 4:37 PM

The 24 hour rule applies but we need to verify with DUFFERMAN that a sitemail was sent as well.  I should make the rule "24 hours after the sitemail was sent."  We'll know better next time...

Well, I get that to a point, but how are other owners to know whether one was sent, and at what time?  The 24 hour rule is moot unless we all know exactly when it starts.

I think we have to assume 2 things:
-- Owners send sitemails more or less right after they post their pick.
-- Owners who are in active drafts are checking at least once a day to see where things are.

I know that I am grateful for sitemails when I receive them, mostly so that I can keep things moving.  But in any league that has a draft, I never rely on getting them 100% of the time, and in particular I never rely on them to let me know when it is my turn.  I take it as my responsibility to know when I am up, not someone else's responsibility to tell me.  Just my 2 cents.

Fair point.
