reconsider 1000 mile rule and two teams in a world Topic

Experience in the beta suggests that distance matters less than before. Wondering whether the ability to have two teams in a world separated by at least 1000 miles still makes sense in the nuHD

Disagree. It never made sense to allow this in the first place. Now with discovery being a factor, the chances for cheating are only increased. (Camp for one team leading to FSS by another team.)

Distance = less but still important. You still open yourself up to scrutiny in recruiting battles.

sorry, I was not clear - my point is that 1000 miles of separation no longer seems like a proper insulation. I wonder whether the ability to have two teams in a world should now be reconsidered given the changes in the new game.

Do they really want to run even more coaches/teams out?
8/11/2016 11:57 AM
I kind of agree but kind of don't Here's why. I have found that, especially at D1, the scouting budget is sufficient to scout all you want to. The main drawback in current HD is that people can use their dollars to scout for the other team. In HD 3.0 that does not matter much. It was also a fear that one ID could "hold" a player for another ID, but in HD 3.0 there is so much competition for recruits, that's not a big factor anymore. I think the downside of driving off more users offsets any gains.

WIS has never really been able to enforce that rule on the front end. I do not see any reason to change the rule, but I think there is far less reason to be concerned with enforcing it now. The only possible benefit to having multiple IDs would be to use D1 team's surplus scouting budget to benefit a D2/D3 team, which might otherwise be unable to locate which state/division to use scouting service to discover a target recruit. That said, I don't know why anyone would really want 2 teams in a single world in the new format.

You're right. There is no necessity to allow two teams in a world by one user, and plenty of downside.

That is the most insane statement I have ever heard from a person. "You're right. There is no necessity to allow two teams in a world by one user, and plenty of downside." Why is there leaderboards here then? Why is any1 trying to be the best in the game. I want a team in 3 diviisions in Allen once I accomplished a div 1 championship. I want to be the best in every world you DON'T just be the best by playing in 1 world that is just a insane statement. Why is there a leaderboard for every division as a matter of fact here is the run down of what I see! Most wins, most championships by person and school, most draft entries, most tourney bids. Where are you going with this statement? Where will I find the motiviation to play this game longer once I accomplish everything I want to?

Before anybody tries to answer this, I feel rather confident that Freud would agree with me that this person exhibits the characteristics of an individual that is impervious to psychoanalysis...although a small segment of the population, he considered all of the irish to belong to this group.

That is the most insane statement I have ever heard from a person...

Without exhausting any other analysis or attempting any other response that might infringe upon nachopuzzle's 'shotgun'-reserved priority (well played, sir), i wonder aloud whether CoachWard95 has been paying attention to the election? i also wonder whether he's heard insane statements from animals, trees or other inanimate non-persons that might compete with the statement he found so offensive as to label it the amentissimus....

Thanks for clarifying.

Any hope for intelligence is now gone.
