Poll: Which world should be killed off? Topic

Let's stir some (different) **** up. If there is a consensus that a world should be killed, which one?

Given that there are 7 - one a day worlds and 3 - two a days. I will start with the presumption that the rational choice is to kill off a single 1/day world. Choose one.

Another possibility that might be fun: Kill off a 2-a-day world too, then open up a brand new world in 3.0 with no history! In addition to taking out one of the 1-a-day worlds which of the following 2 worlds should be eliminated?

Not as married to it as you might think, but Phelan and Tark are schedule to roll on the same day. If WIS is consistent, then a coinflip will decide which one gets postponed for 10 days. If WIS was going to take a 2/day out, then it would definitely be one of those 2...right then.

Well .. if we are going to kill worlds, I would start with 1 per day worlds as there are more than 2 times of them (7 vs 3 two per day worlds).

But I am not sure that needs to be done. In the new game, SIMs recruit better, so there should not be any reason that you have to have filled worlds.

If people REALLY want to consolidate worlds, then you could make that happen via the forums and coaches corner. Have people move to the worlds you want to keep.

I think its false to assume that if you killed a world off that a owner would just move to another world. Personally myself if they killed Knight I would not join another world.

I think they need to merge two one day world into two others.

two days is allright.

worlds are emptier than ever and not markatable.

But how? Who gets told that they need to give up their big 6 job?

if WIS wanted to do this, an example of a way in which it could happen would be

1. announce it is happening
2. allow people to move voluntarily from the expiring world to the other world - give "resume" placement credit for where they are, so one is eligible for equivalent jobs
3. sweeten the deal with a credit for a free season
4. AND, say that folks who dont move volunarily will be moved a season later to what WIS determines is an equivalent job

or something like that

I'm happy to respond to all of these...IMO:
  1. The worlds are marketable. With this game it doesn't make that much difference to new users whether the worlds are full. It may help with retention...true enough, but it means nothing to new users.
  2. There is no real way to merge worlds. The only way to do it in this game is to kill a world and give coaches credits and make them eligible at their current level in a world of their choosing. No way to merge them.
  3. Dac...don't you think that's enough at this point? Either quit or decide to stick around in a world to see whether it turns out to be playable.

So I say destroy two and see what happens!

A better solution would've been to have a mix of HD 2.0 and HD 3.0 worlds. You would retain all the current customers that wanted to stay in 2.0 and make the other customers happy with 3.0 that wanted this change for one reason or another.

Next market the product better so you can fill the worlds. Users come and go, but there has been little or no effort to market the product.

As of a result of 3.0, we are losing coaches and some of the coaches that are planning on staying are reducing the number of teams. Part of the reason being, the amount of time it's taking to put in scouting and recruiting effort. Because of this, there is talk(not necessarily by seble), but of closing down a couple of worlds, which will **** off more customers. Doesn't sound like a great way to run a business if you ask me.
