Didn't we used to have to go to standings first anyway? I don't remember being able to type anything from the main office screen before, either. So that would be the same number of steps (clicks anyway) or am I forgetting something? And if someone has posted an inter-conference message, you can still click on the conference to go directly to the other conference chat page.
Might be an extra step to *start* an inter-conference chat from what it used to take.
So in 2.0 if you go to your Standings page, you could start typing below.
In 3.0, when you get to the Standings page, you then have to click on "View All Chat" to get to the writing box.
Also, in 2.0, if i was on the Standings page for my conference (say Big East), i could click on say "Conf-USA" and their standings and writing box would be there and i could type away.
However, in 3.0, from my Standings page, if i click on Conf-USA standings and want to comment on ppk700's champion ECU team, i have to first click on "Conference Chat", then "View All Chat", which takes me to my Big East coaches corner, and then click on "C-USA" before being able to write... plus as i write, i can't see the C-USA Standings in order to form witty comments.
Anyway, no biggie, but it's a couple of extra pain in the arse steps for no real good reason.
To me anyway, from each Standings page we should have the writing box ready to go. We shouldn't have the second task of "View Chat" to allow writing.
