I get what it is...

But that's just bad, I mean that's about 10 lines of code or less to fix this blasphemy... Do they need me to write it for them? That's just bad.

I would include the offer to write the code with your ticket.....

Has happened to me several times since 3.0 went live! Really, 100 percent?

FWIW I emailed WIS last week about a few side topics including working with a group of coaches to help refine the Vision WIS has (which, as I've said numerous times, I think they have a good vision for the game). One of the things was helping pinpoint "Quick Wins" where they could spend very little time and deliver a lot of value...

for years, some thoughtful participants have talked about easy, small changes - quick wins is better way to express.

I bet there are a bunch one could think of now that 3.0 is a few months old - so long as the process stayed away from big changes, changes with likely ripple effects - cosmetics, user interface, tweaks like rounding stuff.....sorting stuff.....

Yeah... My hope is they'll think about it. If they were willing to have discussions with some coaches I think that could do wonders for not only the engagement of the users but also help continue to build the community. The HD community isn't what it used to be and building that back up alone would be nice...

However, a few small quick wins once a month would be nice and show their dedication to the user base. My email was fairly long so I'll be somewhat surprised if I get a response but I truly feel that a group of coaches could help them refine the vision and ask some of the questions (like why) that may make them think a bit differently about things and make HD a better product.

Speaking from HBD, too often a "small quick win" was a SQW for a handful of users. For user input, you'd need a wide variety of users. Much like you have in this forum. I keep saying "Your suggestion transfer the problem for D1 users to D2 users" and not one person will comment. Simply because they know I'm right and it doesn't fit their agenda. There's no debate to be had.

And, to save you some time, I'm in D3. Screwing over D2 isn't a problem for me. But it is for the guy in D2. I also assume the same would apply to D2 to D3. Then it is up in my business.

I dont reply to the point you make repeatedly Mike, because it is obviously true - but it also doesnt prove anything in my opinion.

there is no inherent right level of the balance between say D1 and D2 in ability to attract "DI" recruits. The WIS staff needs to decide what makes the game work well - based on realism, game play, whatever else they consider.

Folks who say, the sky is falling, a D2 beat a D1 miss the above point.

Likewise, folks who say "D1 welfare" as the reply to any suggestion that DI should do better against D2.

there is no costless change - always at the expense of another user. But that doesnt tell us what is the right level of any of these benefits/detriments for different categories, preferences, etc etc

On the quick win notion - I would stay far away from those sorts of real competitive features in seeking quick wins. There is no free lunch and no quick win on those topics.

But, on less substantive stuff, I bet there are a lot of quick wins that could make users happier, the game a smidge better

I was simply pointing out the "user input" suggested is probably not going to be for a wide variety of users. I've already seen it. "You only have 7 seasons and no tourney wins. You don't know ****!!!" And while they may not know **** about how to win at HD, they can still understand how a change will affect the game for EVERYONE.

As for what I've suggested about transferring the EE problem to other users, it proves that the "EE is problem!!!" users aren't that concerned about users who don't have EE problems. Nothing more, nothing less. It's a very myopic view of EE.
