I would do maybe 10 LP, 10 PE, and 16 DE, because the low amount you can add to LP and PE without a negative is 3, so it would be logical that you can have less minutes in it and still get solid improvement. Maybe even go to 8 for each and make it 20 for DE until it goes blue, then bring it down to 15 and pile it onto REB or BH.

great potentials

note the modest WE - this means that you can lose some skillz on this guy if you dont sustain minutes.

If you put zero on passing it is likely to decline - but not much. With all those greens and blues that might be okay.

It takes fewer minutes to avoid decline in PER and LP - maintenance for other categories is about 7 - with this WE you could drop a smidge at 7. Maintainance for LP and PER is more like 3

I would think a little bit about what you need. Do you run man defense - then load more on DEF. Are you otherwise short of REB on your team - then more REB

Wait! I'm totally uninterested in your question, but I have a question for you: Holy crap! How are you getting those WE improvements so early in the season?

If I had to answer, I'd probably go low on conditioning ~ 11; 12's on all the greens; 1 on passing. The extra 1 you can move around as you see fit (SH; DEF; LP or PER) depending on your needs and whether you guess either PER or LP may be a boomer. After that, just check back in to see what has turned blue early or seems to be growing faster than you'd guess.

Seriously though...talk to me about those WE improvements.

What mets said. You need to decide what you want him to be for your team. Right now he is all potential, I would suggest figuring out what role you need him to fill first and then load up on those skills.

My guess is he did the rs on rs off trick to raise we 4 points in 6 games.

How is this still allowed...

Whoa! Please explain. Is it on / off every cycle or just as fast as you feel like? I am looking for a forum thread on it....is there one?

On the one hand that's awesome and on the other hand, it is a total glitch that should be fixed immediately. Not sure how I had not seen it before.

I sent in a ticket. They more or less ignored it.

I don't do it because ot feels dirty but it's basically on and off until you get the number you want.

well, I suppose if there a chance you go negative and can't get it back that's a little better

still super cheesy

meh; anyone can do it freely.

Doesn't help that much. In the end the guys still have a max potential per stat.

I expect admin could easily fix it, but I don't blame anyone for taking advantage of the glitch while it exists. It used to be that you could take the shirt on & off repeatedly and eventually most recruits would accept the shirt without a WE hit. Some users would continue that well into the season, keeping the player off the depth chart just to keep trying. I never recall any player's WE increasing over the original number in that process; only returning to the original. So, it's a new glitch with 3.0.

Glitch? Bug?

Nope, seems like it's the way it's supposed to be to me!

In their defense, when I resubmitted a ticket they responded with something that makes me think they may actually look into it and at least acknowledge this needs to be fixed.

Well, they fixed that problem once, I hope they can do it again.

Back to the oriiginal question...
I'm with Trent. Get him usable asap!
Do NOT put 12 on each category. Allow certain areas to drop that you don't care about initially.

Here's how I handle young guys often... not this guy specific, but some good rules of thumb when deciding for this guy:
Priority one- get their core/ essential for playing time attributes up asap. For me, it is speed/ ath/ defense. If a player doesn't have those, nothing else about him will be that good and I don't want him on the court.
Second- Pick what traits he need to improve on to have a ROLE on your team. If you want him to be a pg, start working on bh /pass. If you want him as a big, work rebounding, etc. (You can do this along with priority one generally. But depending on how much practice time is available & potentials, this is a secondary but important priority).
Once he is playable, has a role, and doesn't hurt you to have him on the court, THEN start working on scoring. I rarely have freshmen shoot so I also develop this Much later if he's a project. Maybe we start developing scoring his sophomore year? Who cares if he can't score until he's a junior if he helps in other areas, you only need a few scorers on the court at a time. Further, Who cares if he CAN shoot as a freshman if he can't play D, is a horrible ath/speed guy, and has a low iq.
final step in development is FT shooting, which isn't a major deal until the distro favors him (jr/senior year?).

Freshmen can start for me on an elite eight team team if they have core attributes and a role... but that role is almost never scoring, often because of IQ alone. Develop guys with a purpose and role and allow the role to change and increase as they reach certain potentials.

One more note about this guy... low work ethic guys.
he has amazing potential but awful WE.
I would only take a guy with a sub 30 WE if I'm needy at the time and he has an immediate role. I once took a single digit WE guy who would start for me from day one... and I took a high potential/ high WE project along with him, knowing that guy would replace his role by his junior season,
This guy, 30 WE, is the bottom WE I'll take regularly and I only want a few on my team because he likely won't reach his full potential. Further a 30 WE GUY like this must have an immediate role and/or not have much potential for me to like him,
yes you heard that right. I want low work ethic guys to not have potential. I want my potential guys to have high work ethic. I do not mind a low work ethic person who is good in the core areas and has a role as he is. I do not want a little work at the guy who I am relying on to develop.
