Are you leaving your other teams as well or just Tark?

That was probably my best current program. It leaves a sour taste in my mouth. I am also Mahomes (2nd name) and theres not much keeping me around.

If you stop showing up for your job at Cheesecake Factory, and as a consequence you lose the position and your manager's positive reference, you might have to accept a lower prestige job at Arby's for your next gig.

Mind-blowing that anyone has a problem with this aspect of the game.

Not a great analogy since this implies you were fired from the Cheesecake Factory. Deemo wasn't fired from his job.

A better analogy is that you are a Walmart produce stocker for 2 years and decide you want to make something of yourself so you quit. A month later, your dreams don't pane out so you go back to Walmart to get your job back but the response is "sorry, we're looking for someone with more experience in the produce industry" and they decide to leave the position vacant instead of hiring you back. What the **** mother effer? I JUST worked here.

More like, you have a job that you might be bad at but you've had it so long that its more bothersome and cheaper to keep you than to try and find someone new.

Then you decide to take a month long vacation but don't notify your boss that you were actually taking said vacation, then came back to work to and walk in on your boss while he's interviewing new candidates and respond "why didn't you hold my job for me" and why can't you apply for the job that asks for a "team player".

It boggles my mind why people don't renew EARLY and if they run out of season, go buy more seasons at the start of the season...

Deemo didn't show up on Renewal Day, and as a consequence he was let go and SimAI named interim coach. Call it a resignation if you want, but the analogy fits.

I thought people would take more issue with my characterization of Arby's as low-prestige. Arby's is delicious. They have the meats.

This is long been the way the jobs "logic" works - as often discussed on the forums.

Having a job or having a certain level of stated prestige isnt the key.

What was your record over the last several seasons at Arkansas? The logic does not look at whether you had been the coach at the specific school - it looks at success level measured the way WIS measures it - about which we have good but incomplete information.

Seems to me

1. The biggest factor here is that you screwed up and didnt renew.
2. Then you were unfortunate that by the time you realized it, someone else had applied. At least based on forum reports, support will if asked before anyone else applies get people back into their job
3. Then you were hit by jobs logic that is not the way many of us - not the way I would - work it.

Well Arby's value over Cheesecake factory is unquestionable. Easy call there.

Here's what I don't like about this and it's mainly the same thing I argue about in other areas - it's the consistency. HD barely has firings. You can drive an A+ prestige program into the toilet and your 'AD' will be as happy as a clam and keep you as their coach. As long as you remember to renew.

Then on the other side - you have someone who gets qualified for the school and moves up. Then they're at the school for a couple seasons and is doing a good job. But they forget to renew and now they're no longer qualified?

If they aren't qualified for the job they're in then they should be fired. Period.

Agree. Gridiron Dynasty has firings. There is no logical reason to not have them in HD as well.

I think in a perfect world, where everyone loved WIS and the worlds were fairly full, a more merit-based jobs system would be ideal.

However, in the world we have, with falling world populations, I think WIS needs to do what they can to retain loyal customers.
Even when it's their fault that they didn't renew.

Situations like this have no resemblance to reality especially the examples everyone has brought. Cheesecake Factory worker?! Seriously you’d have to compare apples to apples, successful D1 coaches are paid in the 6 figure range. You can’t just find another “John Smo” to fill that 1 million dollar a year salary.

Forgetting the arcane jog logic that exists, why would D1 Arkansas deem him unqualified for a position that they were previously happy with his performance? Unless a more tenured coach applies, Deemo would be welcomed back with open arms in a RL situation.

Well this is solid proof that Seble wants us all to quit so he doesn’t have to deal with the burden of having to do legitimate work
10/3/2018 6:59 PM
I’m surprised that the general consensus isn’t in support of deemo. A long time user should get the benefit of the doubt in these situations.
