Offseason and Job Application Process Length Topic

Every season when my season is over and the tournaments are complete there is a week or so of time set for the initial job applications, 2nd round of recruiting, and then another job application period. Is it just me or does this period take entirely too long?!

Withdraws have set in. I feel like a meth addict that’s been cut off cold turkey! Is there no way to speed this process up?! If not, then WIS needs to open a rehab facility for those experiencing the same symptoms I am! The off season is entirely too long! Please WIS, don’t keep making me wait 7-14 days to get get back to my addiction! Speed it up! Or give us something else we can do during this period of time! I’m begging you before I lose my mind!

I love second round of recruiting, but I agree the other application periods take two long.

I agree, the whole process needs to be tightened up. Too much down time. Why should WIS care, it would increase their cash flow.

I thought that would help but ive worked 2 years to get good in D1 Phelan. Im all in on that one team(St louis, National runner up) and have tried doing another league but its just not the same. Shorten the off season WIS!!

#TYPR, I agree they should end the odd non-cycles during the national tourney where you can win but not play again for 24 hours. Also, 25 hours between the national title game and when job applications start seems way too long - .1 hour seems way better.

WIS, cutting out 2 days in the season equals a 7% increase in sales....or you could lower the costs by 3.5% so you split the increase with the consumers.

We're talking about WiS, they'll take the extra 7% lol.

See! This should happen. More money for WIS more fun for me, and less intense withdraw in the meantime! Also I’d like to thank Nick Bennett for tooting his own horn. I dig a humble coach! ; )

I vaguely remember this being brought up as an issue not too long ago...I think the some of the best remedies for this: discover a hobby, get a second job, find Jesus.

They could do jobs in 24 hours, if they did it right, cutting 48 hours off.

1) Require that teams are renewed by the time the NT championship is run.
2) Folks could then apply for jobs by 11PM EST the evening after the NT.
3) Job decisions could be processed during normal recruiting cycles, at 5 and 11 AM and PM EST. 4 jobs cycles is plenty, since folks can only apply for 4 jobs.

They could also smash new coach signups into this period, and eliminate the 36 extra hours between recruiting and the season. Then new coaches could even get in on RS2 if they wanted.

The downside, of course, is that folks often miss the renewals and lose their teams. This probably wouldn’t make that problem any better, and might make it worse. Still might be worth it.

These are all great ideas shoe3. I always check the little box "auto renew" and never have a problem forgetting to renew.

Great ideas, shoe3. I'm all in favor.

To help mitigate the renewal issue, WIS could do a better job of sending warning messages/emails/popups when you sign in to your account/etc. starting with the CT to teams that are not currently set to renew.
