Imagine you get a team you really like... at 3.0, a rebuild, can you envision yourself go through it?

I need some... it’s like changing jobs is now hell.

I can. Just make sure you have one other team so you can focus on that.

I love rebuilds give me a team with 4 year starters who I can build and I guarantee it that I can win a national championship that way.

My first team Chowan is the 2nd seed and is just days out of the rebuild

Most likely, that means the team was not a rebuild if it's a second seed. With that said, what were you the second seed of with a 11-15 record and 235 RPI? 2nd seed in a conference full of sims isn't really progress. I don't know that you have a single recruit on that team I would keep.

I prefer full rebuilds myself. I don't like taking over teams from a human coach. I have only done it once. I like the progress involved. And I'm also in no hurry. This is a game that we player forever. I'll be here in 5 years. So the next 3 months aren't even a speed bump.

I'm also not much of a job changer tho. I get a team and just stay put and build that team up forever. So that plays a part.

Go for it. I just took over C+ prestige Indiana (my alma matter in Tark last season) after a lot of success at A+ prestige Illinois and am in the midst of a major rebuild as the roster was depleted. It's definitely challenging, but fun to go through the process and to get it built back up.

people rebuild all the time in 3.0, Ive done it a few times....just keep your expectations in check and you will eventually get there

the only season that REALLY sucks on a rebuild is the first one, where you are basically playing the chumps left behind by simmy. i'm going to finish my rebuild in Knight 0-27 less than a week after winning a NC in Smith. basically a waste of a season...

I’ve had a lot of fun rebuilding UConn. Not all the way back, and we’ll likely take a step backward next season, but we should stay competitive, and it’s been a fun process. I actually don’t mind the first season. As crabman says, if your expectations are in check, that first 1/2 recruiting session can be fun. You can scout a ton, and find useful players in fun places (like D2 jucos). You won’t win a lot, but there’s more to enjoy about the game than #winning.

I’m enjoying this rebuild a lot too. Recruiting is a lot of fun because of the rescinding and basically building from scratch. I’ve enjoyed and hopefully next year we can turn the corner.

That first season of a rebuild, you should be aiming to strengthen your preferences, paint offense, fast break, zone, at least what you can control towards the players you're targeting for recruiting. You just have to swallow your pride a bit and accept you might go 0 -27, even if that means running an 8 man fb/fcp.
