He’s accused of committing a relatively minor crime. His career is over. What more do you think should happen?

If you think that's a fair sentence for setting-back the reporting of hate-crimes by about 20 years, then I guess nothing.
You're hypocrisy never ceases to amaze me though.
Had this been a straight, middle-aged white man who accused some minority, you'd be throwing a fit.

You're begging the question. Smollett didn't set back the reporting of hate crimes about 20 years. What does that even mean?

I'm 'outraged'... But like BL said... He lost his job, and his credibility. I don't think the legal system should be exploited by the rich and famous. He should get his due punishment, and he has gotten plenty of public shame.

But I don't really think about Jussie Smolett much... In the end what he really wanted was attention, positive or negative.

Thanks to the others who weighed-in. Appreciate that you didn't insist on pulling a b_l too.

May be federal charges coming his way. Also, Rahm Emanuel and the Chicago Police Chief were pretty outraged. They were downright ******. CNN continued to make themselves look stupid (they seem to do this on a daily basis).

Let us remember that we are talking Chicago here. Things are not done here the same way as other places. It is not just money changing hands, it is what hands end up with the green. I understand your outrage but you get what you get in this town and hope for better. You can hold out for federal charges but do you really think the Trump administration cares about a case like this/?
