I'm the only one with deGrom or Bernhard. Did not expect that. Making up for it by having all 4 of the hitters drafted 4 or more times, and two of the 3's.

Interesting analysis. My 3 man staff team is kind of out there on its own (Hubbell, Drysdale, and Tesreau). All three of my 300+ guys were sole choices. The only relief pitcher I'm using on the list is '15 Hill. Ditto the '13 Speaker for position players.

Was a player really selected twice if ozomatli has him on both of his teams?

Was thinking the same thing. I think my lineup and bullpens are almost identical across both teams.
7/16/2019 1:27 AM
Also I cannot believe:
  • Bernhard and deGrom were only selected one
  • 1908 Walsh isn't on every 2 man team
  • No one used 1908 Frank Smith in a 3 man (I wanted to, but had to raise my SP salaries to get my teams in separate conferences)
  • Only 3 people (well, 2) took 2016 Kershaw
7/16/2019 1:30 AM
Frank Smith is underpriced but otherwise nothing special, better suited for $100m. Kershaw can't start in this theme and his relief performance is on par with other RP at $50,000+ per inning who are easier to manage.
7/16/2019 2:38 AM (edited)
Agree to disagree. By my metrics...

2016 Kershaw is the 3rd best value pitcher-season over $25,000 $/IP with at least 100IP. As a comparison, 1918 Toney is 220th and 1888 Chamberlain is 445th. And he can start in the playoffs, which is all that matters for him.

1908 Smith is the 12th best value pitcher-season over $25,000 $/IP with at least 300IP. When you're THAT underpriced, you're a good value at a stretch-cap. I'd rather let Smith give up a few extra runs and spend the money on offense, a different SP or my pen.
