2016 Kershaw is the 3rd best value pitcher-season over $25,000 $/IP with at least 100IP. As a comparison, 1918 Toney is 220th and 1888 Chamberlain is 445th. And he can start in the playoffs, which is all that matters for him.
1908 Smith is the 12th best value pitcher-season over $25,000 $/IP with at least 300IP. When you're THAT underpriced, you're a good value at a stretch-cap. I'd rather let Smith give up a few extra runs and spend the money on offense, a different SP or my pen.
