Really should wait until recruiting is all done to disclose details. For your sake, as much as the fair play guidelines,
In general, if you’re getting locked out as a C- against a C+ (ie, if you can’t get above moderate even with max or near max effort) your rival has significant preference advantages, and/or has offered more promises.
this is a good point.
i will however say that generally the whole situation sucks surrounding this stuff, and 3.0 made it FAR worse. before, you might have to wait a day, few days tops, to discuss something that happened with 0 risk of impacting anything. often even waiting until after signings took away most of the risk (especially if both teams were clearly done), which often meant it was relatively safe to discuss something just a few hours after it happened.
during recruiting, it is almost impossible to be sure that almost any recruiting comment, other than a simple 'good luck confmates!' type deal, cannot result in information disclosure to some party. so much seems relatively innocent, but then if you really think about it, can find a way someone could get information they shouldn't have. in this thread, its pretty clearly crappy for the other team, if someone else they are battling were to notice this and know they must be heavily committed. so, it is definitely worth considering if anyone could be harmed by the comment - or even, if anyone could glean any info from it.
all that said, this is a for-fun game and i believe that needs to be the focus. sometimes folks act like we are gambling for thousands of dollars here, or something. its no fun to have something bad happen to someone in recruiting because someone accidentally gives away some info - but it also is no fun to be unable to talk about the most exciting part of the game. regarding fair play issues in general in this game, a small but important % of people are basically religious zealots, to the point where it is clearly not balanced or good for the game. people having fun, especially outside the absolute top echelon of competition, has got to be the priority, although clearly there needs to be balance with the fair play issues.
that said, in this case, the information disclosed is be pretty significant, and i would recommend waiting a couple days to post about it. i'm not sure about waiting until session 2 is over, it really seems like it would be bad for this game if nobody could talk about recruiting until after they'd already forgotten what happened.
