New OL AAA rules Topic

Hello.

I've been following the new rule changes on the forum, but as a newer player I'm a little confused. If I started to draft a team weeks ago, will that team have AAA players or not? If I joined a brand new OL today, would I have AAA players? I think part of the confusion is that in the rules etc I keep seeing AAA players, so I wasn't 100% sure the rule had officially been changed.

Thanks for any help!

They are removed from Open Leagues for now.

I recommend drafting all 13 pitchers, getting a few cheap arms to help fill the gaps.

Try to get a few decent backups for your bench. You can do so without spending much above the minimum.

Don't waste money. It is too competitive. Look for value by comparing $/PA and $/IP.

Do we have confirmation that they are actually gone? The OL I joined a few days after the announcement still had AAA. I know there a few owners that had teams queued up in open leagues - stretching out aways. I didn't know if that was causing an issue with the implementation of the new parameters.

Supposedly they removed them already...the note in the team center might still be up...

Any OL that had already begun filling will have AAA. Idk if there’s a way to know until you’re in it though. Two leagues I had started yesterday and both have AAA

I’ve been posting in OL with the league number range to look for. AAA were removed from leagues effective 2/18, but for leagues that had already begun filling prior to that date still have AAA. Bru081668 had teams in the next 11 (at least, that’s as many open teams I had to keep throwing in to test). I don’t think we’ll see no AAA in an OL until the league # started with MLB1308XX and most are still in the MLB129XXX range and bru (along with two other owners) had teams going into at least the 1304xx range. Lowest league number I had in my team center was MLB130841, and I had a team in the next several champs leagues and the highest of those was MLB13081X before I pulled that team out to test the OL level. A few days ago I posted in a few OLs I thought we were 10-14 days away from seeing leagues without AAA, so now I’d guess 7-10 days away now.

Wait, are you Bru081668? I was wondering if that was a bot user.

All that guys does is picks a team a twists a couple of players. His record is awful

Nah, I’m not bru, and don’t believe bru is a bot either. OL still fill at a rate of 1 a day. Bru only plays OL from what I can tell, and there’s no reason to throw in a bot to fill open leagues at that fill rate. Also, a bot would be more consistent in its approach to trades, twisting, etc

They could just enjoy running seasonal teams out there. I did things like that for years and still have the spreadsheets of the data from those seasonal teams.

Yeah I didn't see this thread until today my bad. One thing we didn't anticipate was there were about 50 OL already created, because users aren't allowed to have 2 teams in the same league. We took about 80-90% and converted them to not have AAA and I let the 2-3 owners that were alone in the those leagues the change would be in those leagues. If you have having issues with drafting too many innings or anticipating not having AAA just ping Customer Support or emailing [email protected] and we can take care of you, whether sending the team back to the draft center or adjusting rosters.

It's overhead I am willing to take to help make this transition as smooth as it can be.

If I were to put in an OL team today, would it have AAA or not? I anticipated the issue above - as did many perceptive veteran users. I just want to know if we are still filling leagues that will use AAA, or if we have reached the point where we have the new rules. I don't want to draft for one and then have to pull and redraft for another. Please clarify where we are at.

Guessing the no AAA hasn't started yet? As I just signed up for a league was generated with AAA still present.
So correct, the already created leagues are having trouble taking this change and Chris and I are looking into the root cause. Once we figure out why these already created leagues are generating AAA still we will put in a fix. I am guessing the latest you'll see a fix from us will be next Thursday because we have another patch coming out.

So I apologize for the misinformation, I actually am in one of these leagues and was expecting not to have AAA myself. I appreciate the understanding in this.

Sincerely,

Adam
