Id say ball handling. If he were say 70 in bh hed be much better. Also his per isnt that elite at 70 to warrant much more than 30%.
BH is important when looking at guard scoring i try to look at both bh and per when evaluating recruits i need to score.

Is this a real question? At 70 PER my players are set at -2 3pt frequency

Basically so this doesn't happen. Also he's developed 9 points in PER growth, so you were shooting 3s up until now while he was in the 60s. Not sure why you would expect good numbers from him at this point. Maybe once he's in the 80s I'd be surprised at these shooting percentages. But now he's right where he should be

I've had players MUCH worse than this do MUCH better. This guy is playing against SIMAI recruited bums and can't hit a 3 to save his life. If you need 70+ PER guys to start hitting 3's, they should just remove the 3pt arc at D3.

for example, how is this bum dropping them like that?

He just played at -2 3pt for 8 straight games and fouled out in 7 of them. All against SIM crap. I don't get it

I think setting a 70 at -2 in D3 is extreme. Here is a guy on my team who is a 61 PER, 67 BH, 94 spd. I had him set at 0 for most of the year and he shot 40.4%. https://www.whatifsports.com/hd/PlayerProfile/Ratings.aspx?tid=7846&pid=4768671

It looks most of your guy's 3s were early in the year when he was low 60s. He also had a pretty high usage rate for a player with reletively low IQ and that may have made him less efficient. If you had him set at +1 I think that was a mistake.

You guys need to learn to look at fatigue. It's always fatigue.

Also, Cobb's teammates have issues Passing and BH, so he's not getting open easily. Most of Yeshiva's players are below 30 with their passing rating.

In flex and triangle, he’d be better, especially if he had good passing teammates. Motion and FB tends to need guys to be able to “create their own shot” a little more, so that low BH hurts him.

The bigger issue overall, I think, is distribution. He is getting too many looks. I agree with slam that -2 is extreme for a 70/70 speed guy, but if he’s taking some 3’s, he can’t be one of the guys you’re leaning on for scoring. He doesn’t have the skill set to be that guy yet. Probably by conference time next season, he’ll be that guy for you, just judging by how his development has been going, from a ratings and IQ standpoint. Once his IQ is closer to A-, and his speed/per is closer to 80 with BH closer to 60, you’ll see the kind of player who can be a leading D3 scorer. Right now, he’s a 3rd option at best, if you want efficiency and wins (and *some* 3 pt threat).

^^ this

basically no one to distribute him the ball. offense is dysfunctional

That being said, he's getting unlucky. SHould still be shooting 35% at the worst

I guess I didn't really factor in the D3 thing. But 70 PER just doesn't excite me. I'm sorry. I agree with others, in that there are other areas that can have an impact here. But 61-70 PER just isn't my thing. And I'd expect him to shoot exactly what he is shooting at this point.

Mrslams guy with 90 SPD/ST, that guy is more odd shooting that high, than the OPs guy shooting low in my eyes. But obviously that SPD/ST is contributing to the situation.

But as I've always stated, I'm more stingy with my 3s than most of you are. Just personal preference

I messed with a couple things. Fatigue was a huge factor, I believe. Yes he can't create his own shots with low BH, his teammates suck at passing, and low team IQ all hurt. However against way inferior competition, he should be doing better. The fatigue thing helped a bunch. Thanks all for the input. Except for the guy that said he sucks. LOL
