After over 19 years on this site and running theme leagues that were never strong on building teams that would make it far in a T.O.C., I finally made it to the T.O.C. Finals - and won it in six games! I'm totally beside myself - never saw it coming. To top it all off, it was in a $150M league and it was a team I had in Round One of this tournament. Who would have ever guessed that the 1971-1996 Cardinals would be good enough to win a $150M T.O.C.? John Tudor was the only "sure thing" as far as pitchers go - and he wasn't even my best pitcher in the tournament. Of all people, 1989 Jose DeLeon was a stud, beating even the old-time, deadball-era pitchers. Also in the tournament, Vince Coleman was the hitting star as well as swiping 22 bases.
Not looking for pats on the back or attaboys - just felt like I had to get this off my chest and brag a bit (since I'm sure I'll never experience a T.O.C. win again).
