If you take Shohei do you get him for both a hitter and a pitcher. If so, do they have to be the same year? In this case, would he count as two players and would you then leave one box open?

If not, do you have to declare if Shohei will be used as a hitter or a pitcher?

Clones are not allowed - would have to be same season. Therefore and subject to confirmation by WIS, I would think you have to draft Ohtani as a pitcher (only) for him to be able to bat when it is his turn in the order. If you take Ohtani as a hitter, then I do not believe he can pitch.

BTW, I liked it better when you offered a selection of which boxes to take but I understand that was an incredible amount of work to get that set-up. So, I'm good with just one group of boxes.

Ohtani can only be selected once on a team: position player or pitcher. Your choice. You do not need to declare in the forum.

• Ohtani the pitcher can can hit when it is his turn in the batting lineup and provided Ohtani is still in the game. Note: WIS indicates "The pitcher Ohtani doesn't hit as well as the hitter Ohtani." You would need to follow-up directly with WIS engineers as to why....
• Ohtani the position player will not be able to pitch.

Theme league rule does not allow clones and so both separate position and pitcher versions would be a violation.
